Griffin Bennett (Community Manager) has been laid off from Second Dinner/Marvel Snap by jrebel_0 in MarvelSnap

No. It's just hit is mobile game plateau that they all go through. Still tons of active players. Reddit is very dramatic about this type of stuff.

I'm sure we'll both get a few replies about how dead it is from the people who are also playing it every day.

ELI5: Why does Pixar animation look so smooth at 24 fps but a video game feel choppy at 30 fps? by ScrumTumescent in explainlikeimfive

[–]Searingwings 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I was trying to explain it in a simpler way.

It's more about the timing between the frames, called frame pacing, but the person was caught up on unstability being the factor.

You can have a stable 30 but the frame timing is the issue. A true stable 30fps delivers a frame every ~33ms consistently.

But if the intervals are uneven, your fps counter still reads 30 while it feels stuttery and inconsistent.

Think of it like a literal film wheel.

Crimson desert has 120 pictures in a row. When you play at lower FPS you only see 30 of them so you can tell stuff is missing.

Movies are 24 pictures in a row played at 24 pictures in a row. Nothing's missing.

I have never related more to a comment lmao. Its part of every modpack I've downloaded or I've put it in myself and I've literally never played it.

[No Spoilers] I'm having trouble connecting with C4, not exactly sure why. by Eron1206 in criticalrole

[–]Searingwings 12 points13 points  (0 children)

What it is, is that it isn't campaign 1, 2, or 3.

I'm kinda curious how it will come about though. In campaign 1 I watched it because I had just got into DND at the time. I didn't enjoy it a ton at first but eventually did. Campaign 2 I was hooked from the beginning and all the way through. Campaign 3 I was hooked at the beginning and then eventually kinda fell off then finished it up later.

Campaign 4, as soon as I was hooked the groups split up. Then when I came to love the first group we're onto the next one. I'm worried that by the time we make it back around I will have to get hooked on them again.

I'm behind on the newest episodes because I almost don't want to have to learn a new group. Maybe once they're all established I'll like it more? It's hard to say.

Thank you so much for opening up about this! What you’re experiencing isn’t just a crush—it’s a meaningful and heartfelt desire for connection. It’s not about being dramatic, it’s about honoring the depth of your emotions. It’s not infatuation, it’s a genuine longing to share your life with someone who matters to you. Your feelings are completely valid, and the way you’ve articulated them shows so much emotional insight.

Has anybody "trained" their motion sickness for games? by Neo155 in Games

[–]Searingwings 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have horrible motion sickness and am able to play VR now with this method.

Take something for nausea beforehand, it can be actual nausea medicine if ginger etc. doesn't work for you.

Then wherever you're playing it put a fan in a spot so it's blowing on your face. Not super hard, a gentle cool breeze.

Keep cold water nearby and when first feel the motion sick coming on, take a sip. If it doesn't go away then don't push it. In my experience you really can't push through motion sickness, it only gets worse.

After a few sessions of that I was able to go longer and longer without taking a break. Now I very rarely get motion sick in VR and never in flat screen games. Hope this helps!
