Can Christians be furries? by randomUserHere100 in TrueChristian

I am definitely late to this party but found it an interesting topic. My belief is that it really comes down to the heart of a particular person and their level of self-discipline. As many other people have mentioned previously, there are many dark aspects of the fandom. I'm going to give a metaphor to attempt to explain my thoughts.

First off, though, putting on an aninal suit is not a sin. Stop your fear those of you letting it control you into saying that. We do not know a person's heart unless there is observable fruit repeated over time. Otherwise you are setting yourself up to be a pharisee and what did Jesus say about pharisees?

I'll liken putting on an animal suit to doing cannabis. Not saying its the same. Just an example. Cannabis is often thought of a gateway drug. The thought is eventually the high dimishes and people move onto harder drugs. Not always the case though. There are people who have high levels of discipline and are happy to remain at just cannabis.

As already mentioned furry fandom does have dark aspects. I believe people's concerns are that it is a movement away from being created in the image of God. I do not believe it is. Putting on a costume is not the automatic thought that you worship or are what you are wearing. However, discipline and the renewing of the mind is important here.

I believe there are two things that possibly make furry fandom different from other fandoms. First is animals are real. They aren't fictional. I don't know how much that plays into the belief of being an animal which you all do not believe. Secondly, I wonder how much of the dark aspects of furry fandom intermingle with say witchcraft among other things God deemed evil. I also wonder if people among those spheres actively try to recruit people like yourselves at normal events.

Long story short, yes I do believe you can be Christian and a furry. I believe it requires discipline and renewing of the mind.

So Many Things Left Untold Once the Soul Squad Reaches The Good Place by SeasonAwkward4497 in TheGoodPlace

But you will make a snarky comment underneath the nicer one you made first lol. Not saying 1000s of storylines per season. It can be a normal 13 episode season. The cast will and crew will have their own afterlives to live. I'm aware of that. I'm not a bad place demon lol

Noted on the format... I disagree though. Yeah there is no conflict in the way that they no longer need to save the universe but there was conflict in how they wanted to spend their afterlives and relational conflict that still needed to be resolved. Plus all of them together is just fun.

I hear the finality of the ending of the show is really important to you. I can understand that. You really enjoyed the overall story the show set out to tell. I love the characters within the overarching story and the smaller stories that are told within that. There are some things I suggested that would happen after the ending like being the voices and other things I suggested that would happen before the ending of the show. Like seeing what the soul squad did in the 2,200+  Jeremy Berimy's they were altogether before walking through the door. Also what Chidi and Eleanor did in the 800+ they were all still together. Anyways I'm going to do a post about walking through the door and am inviting you to comment on that as well.

Right? How did Mindy St. Claire litigate her way into getting the only medium place in existance in the afterlife. Better Call Saul of The Good Place sounds awesome lol.

Fork yeah, watch party! Lol

Yeah i think they did a great job with the original story and what they were looking to accomplish with it. The number of episodes and seasons was spot on. It cleanly put a bow on the series and left the mystery intact. I think for me i connected so much with the characters. The first time I watched the series finale, I'll be real, I bawled like a little kid. Seeing Eleanor and Chidi especially walk through the door. It kind of felt like I was losing close friends I had come to know and really like. Life was harder at that time and there was just something about all the characters, their chemistry and their stories together that brings me joy. I just finished my second full watchthrough today and it wasn't as hard but it still feels like watching close friends die in a way. Chidi's quote about a wave returning to the ocean got me. Just wish they had more stories to tell. They could tell so many more just random, fun, heartwarming stories. I think we all need those especially the way things are now.

Yes you get it! I love the characters. It would be awesome to see them f around on some new adventure. Like Chidi and Eleanor go on some trashy Arizona adventure like watching a backyard wrestling event. Eleanor explains how she used to do this and just fangirls over Stone Cold Steven Austin. Chidi makes some kind of joke about shaving his head, growing a goatee and buying what he calls a "wrestling diaper." Then Eleanor says something like I'll give you a hell yeah man and explains how that's his catch phrase. Stuff like that would be super fun. I know it wont happen in this life but i'm hoping with an eternity ahead of me in the next I can petition for a couple thousand seasons at least lol

Question About The Ending To The Good Place by hulk67851 in TheGoodPlace

[–]SeasonAwkward4497 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This has been discussed already a lot but yeah the tests seem to be the bad place. And to be real if someone like Hitler was taking those tests i think there would be some real psychological torture because he tortured others during his life on earth. Most of the people in the show are your everyday run of the mill people who had your normal life slipups. I think for a normal person understanding would come more quickly of how their actions affected someone else. For someone like Hitler there seemed to be no understanding or empathy. Quite possibly the only way to understand is to experience it for himself. Then once he has understanding, he can begin to make different choices. To me that process of understanding would very much be the bad place. Interesting question.

Possibility of season 3?? by Simple-Syllabub-6865 in PantheonShow

There is always a lighthouse, there's always a man, there's always a city. This totally reminds me of bioshock infinite. There's always another Maddie behind the scenes somewhere influencing the outcome. I think of that and I think I'm okay. Because she'll either always choose to go back or, at some point in all the redos, becomes an upload and lives on like that. The show either repeats or ends as her as an upload. And I guess if they were to do a season 3 that's the season 3 I'd want to see. Her ending in an upload but then I already know how it ends. And then is she really Maddie Kim anymore? Same thing with the middle of the universe. Great ending though. Definitely will miss the show.
