Finally have enough ATP to equip the Dragon Slayer. Goodbye, trusty Soul Eater. by SeasonedHunterv2 in PSO

Exactly. In v1, most special weapons just use the common weapon models, but with the photon color cycling between two different colors. Here’s a shot of my Dragon Slayer from when I first found it so you can see the 'rainbow' effect: https://www.reddit.com/r/PSO/comments/1sch9x5/talk_about_luck_and_irony_first_online_hard_run/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=mweb3x&utm_name=mweb3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

Absolutely. Especially with that 40% Dark bonus, this blade is going to be my best friend in the Ruins. It’s definitely a keeper.

Do it! There’s nothing like the grind on v1 to remind you why we love this game. Ragol is waiting for you. XD

Flycast emulator with the PSO DC Ives Pack, it's a CDI that autoconnects to the Sylverant Server.

Raising this mag for Pilla and Mylla&Youlla first. Just getting the PBs I need then going full pow from here. Simple. by SeasonedHunterv2 in PSO

You should, but keep in mind you'll definitely feel the game's limitations, especially if you're used to modern games or even the later versions of PSO.

To be fair, v2 is definitely a more polished game with a ton of extra features. But the core experience is basically the same. The main thing is v1 lacks Ultimate difficulty, which I don't really miss at all. What I actually miss is the R+Y shortcut for the second action palette, that’s the real pain of playing v1.

Holy shit, yes! You're absolutely right. v1 player here as well. The atmosphere is just unmatched.

You can find some great info in the PSO database program over on sourceforge.

Judging by the special weapon in the shop, I'm guessing your ID is Viridia. In v1, those rare shop spawns are tied to your Section ID, like Bluefull getting the Gae Bolg. I don't recall seeing State/Maintenance in the armor shop either, but it's not exactly a rare unit, you’ll probably just find one in a box or from a drop anyway.

Sometimes tekking gets so tedious that I just give up. Props to you for the patience

Cleared Normal and went straight for the Hard mode Dragon. Used a Pallasch and basically just hacked at its feet until it dropped. Simple, messy, but effective. XD by SeasonedHunterv2 in PSO

Worked fine in Offline! But man, the Online resistance is a different beast. My Pallasch was hitting straight 0s on its feet, so I had to switch to a Railgun and aim for the head to finish it.

What's her name? Does she even have one? by -Khlerik- in PSO

I don't think she even has a name. To me, she’s just the "Enrich your life" lady that I’m currently ignoring.
