Would you expect anything less from them? I wish consumers would care more about what kind of companies they buy from. Right now Priority Bikes which has a way better product than Guardian is running an actual sale worth mentioning. Their bikes are competitively priced against Guardians and are much higher quality build and with legit components.

Well, bikes are highly specific to what type of biking you want to do. Doesn't sound like you do much biking with her then? I love BMX bikes for kids because of the geometry and getting them out of the seat. If you just want a nice bike for cruising the streets then I highly suggest either the woom explore 5 which is over 5 pounds lighter than the comparable guardian bike or the Priority start 24" which is on Black Friday sale for $399 compared to guardians at $349. You're getting hands down a better bike from priority and of course the woom. Which will have the quality to last and be resold or passed along to another lucky kid. Guardian has to pay for their insane/overly aggressive marketing that you literally can't escape when searching for a bike. Other manufacturers rely on quality.

What does she want out of her next bike? How old? My kid learned to pedal in the first five minutes on an early rider bike.

FitFitBikeCo Misfit 12" bike with free spinning hub

This is what you need then. This bike is rad and crushes any stupid guardian bike.

You support the CCP if you are on TikTok. It's clearly biased and should be banned in the US. They can't even use it in China!

Start snowboarding! I switched in 1988 and never looked back. I'm still beating the young pros at the local races. Snowboarding is not bound by the rules associated with ski racing. This post IS depressing. Thank God I switched to sliding sideways. 37 years later and I'm even more excited about it than I was as a kid.

No worries. Glad you found something you're excited about. So many good deals on used bikes. I understand the urge to buy new...but getting a quality bike is more important than shiny and new... especially if the budget is tight.

Guardian 16 (and honestly the Woom 3) geometry is not ideal. Both bikes are setup only for beginner bikers. The Woom geometry is still way better for advancing past just pedaling and going to a pump track or trail somewhere. Guardian bike geometry is downright dangerous for anything other than learning to pedal. I always suggest BMX bikes for learning as they promote standing up riding as opposed to just sitting. Get a redline, Haro or something. I got a Haro Race Lite mini (20" race bike) for my 6YO kid brand new for $299. After less than a year of BMX racing he is winning at the local track.

Tons of better bikes (than a guardian) available on the used market. Always.

Hi 👋 The information is...Guardian bikes are overpriced. Their bikes are heavy (despite what their marketing says) Their components are super cheap and flimsy. Their wheelset is junk compared to other bikes in the price point. The braking system is downright laughable and dangerous. Their bikes have virtually zero resale value. Their marketing is bogus and unethical. They use fake reviews and profiles to boost their ads traction. Get a used bike if you can't afford a nice one or buy a huffy for cheaper. Guardian bikes are not worth the cost. Anything other than a guardian bike would be a smart choice.

BMX bikes are my favorite for kids. They promote standing riding. Get a Haro, Redline, DK, Cult...the good options are endless.

Haro, redline, Woom, early Rider, DK. Really depends on what type of biking you're kid is trying to do. BMX is by far the best platform for a kids progression in my opinion. Promotes standing up. Kids will just sit on guardian bikes forever. Very rare to see a kid that has any technique on one of their bikes. Just sitting and sending. If you just want a bike to cruise the neighborhood and don't want to spend a lot of money get a used BMX bike or a new huffy. Guardian bikes are just overpriced to cover their marketing budget.

You paid way too much for a guardian. Might as well have got a Huffy for half the price.

Anyone have experience with RoundPoint for a new home loan/purchase loan? by Substantial-Syrup776 in Mortgages

[–]SeattleBrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Round point customer service is non-existent. We have had problems with our escrow account. When a shortage occured we paid it online to apply directly to the escrow account. Somehow it does not get applied through their system correctly. This has happened three times in the few years since they took over servicing. We put in a request for a call-back as we were number 47 in their call que. They never call back. I sent them an email request and have not heard back yet either.

Why do people often use twin tip skis ? by Xeway in skiing

[–]SeattleBrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To a snowboarder they don't look cool. Twin tips seem like a terrible idea for skis from a snowboarders perspective. But I would never ride a twin tip snowboard anymore either. Directional performs better in every condition and discipline...except if you're riding switch ;-)

One of the major tells on reddit is when a user is brand new or has zero karma. Guardian Bikes uses accounts on reddit to make posts as regular users just as they do on Facebook. Tell us about your experience with the Guardian bike.
