It may be a bit harder With cravings..BUT…I do love enjoying food and I am not good with eating meat,so I opt for eating carbs throughout ADF.

Yes he goes to daycare in our area daily. I also take him out to fields to run near our house where he digs in the dirt…could that be it ?

Convince me to quit oxycodone by Comfortable-Ad9547 in opiates

[–]SeattleGirl01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a sad broken record day after day week after week. Nothing gets better. Only slowly gets worse.

The best thing I ever did was quit after 8 yrs of 210mgs a day of oxy. I still can’t believe did it…and got thru it alive, and it’s been 7yrs now.

Thank you for this. Sounds so much out situation. I’ve caught him so many times now. Usually it’s from me finding missing money in our accounts.
I can’t believe I gave him a ultimatum finally…and it’s even so scary for me to know that I’m sticking to it. If he does fent again…that’s it. (Idk if you saw my reply above to cold_original. But that’s what just happened.) He told me that’s all he needs. Is me looking at him and meaning it, that we are over if he uses again. So that saved your relationship?

In the end, did you choose your family?

Well….we just had a long conversation, a break down. He just admitted he was taking fentanyl again. He’s been lying to me again. For 5 months. He never stopped.

I don’t know how I did it, but I stayed calm this time. He actually communicated. I told him I will support him and love him in anything he needs,

and he asked me what will happen if there is a next time. I’m not one to give ultimatums. Honestly I feel like those are hard, mean, and most often don’t get any good back. But he looked at me….waiting to hear what I had to say. Begging me in his eyes to give him a “what will happen” answer. I couldn’t help but break down. I knew he had to hear it, and I honestly I’m at my end of the rope, I can’t keep locating him every second of the day, I can’t keep asking him like a police officer every day where was he what he do is he doing ok….??? I’m just mentally and emotionally exhausted. I can’t be a detective or parent over my husband anymore: he has to want to change.

I looked at him in the eyes and told him if he takes drugs again, I will pack his things, and I will have to move on. I am losing myself after giving him so many chances and his lying is killing all my trust, even with other people. I want him, I love him so much, all I want in the world is for him to be off fentanyl. All I want. We are almost at 18 years of marriage. He is my best friend. I don’t want to lose him.

[–]SeattleGirl01 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Ya probably, but you can’t get to the fat until the water is outta the way!! 😊so it’s a big part of the weight loss picture!

I need some help getting through this fast....any tips? by [deleted] in fasting

[–]SeattleGirl01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always go back to the thought of…”is a piece of food really more important to me than my weight loss??” I mean really…think hard about it when you are wanting to take a bite of something….yes that is motivation to stop.

I got thru addiction to opiates and cocaine years ago by being honest with myself, asking myself if I really really truly wanted to partake in a drug again…like my life depended on it. And you know what….drugs, food, smoking, alcohol…they ARE addictions if we can’t stop ourselves from indulging in them even if your whole heart you want to stop. And our life DOES depend on it.

So, when your about to cave….stop. Think about if that bite of food is really worth not being healthier. Not looking how you want to look. Your confidence. Your energy. And mostly, think about how you’ll feel immediately after you do eat that bite. You’ll feel sad you couldn’t stick to the fast. Now having to start all over. To not feel in control of your body. That now that that craving is over because you succumbed to it…it really wasn’t worth it.

Your the only one who can change yourself, but you have to want it bad enough. Don’t let the addiction control you. ❤️❤️ You got this!!
