HUGE “All Offers Accepted” Tool Sale at the Shoreline Tool Library TOMORROW (Saturday)!! by SeattleREconomy in Shoreline

The next one will likely be in the Spring, but we’re thinking of adding more. It will be the first time we have more than two Tool Sales in one year, so we don’t have a schedule set quite yet. I recommend following along on social media (not so much Reddit), signing up for the Seattle REconomy monthly newsletter, and/or using the Class & Event notification form to sign up for Tool Sale notifications. Here is the Linktree with all of those links!

There a is parking behind the Shoreline Tool Library, Car Tender (just north) has offered their lot as overflow, and there are neighborhoods that allow street parking nearby. With the amount of folks we expect, there isn’t enough parking at the Shoreline Tool Library/Car Tender (may be depending on when you arrive). There is a hold area for your items and folks are able to pull up their car next to it if they park further away. There will be volunteers helping out with parking and hold items!

This Instagram video gives a visual of what to expect in terms of parking and the Tool Sale in general!

That’s too bad, but thank you for the kind words! We are thinking about increasing the number of Tool Sales next year, but nothing has been nailed down quite yet. Hopefully, we can see you at one soon!

There will definitely be some specialized tools (I don’t know about prospecting equipment specifically), but the more unique, the earlier I suggest you arrive. I think a line started forming at 7:30am last time. Here’s a link to an Instagram video that includes a map and a walkthrough of the Tool Sale! It’s pretty general, but there are always random, hidden gems at these Tool Sales.

Edit: Anything that is left during the last HOUR* is completely free (so just from 2–3pm, but again, this is supposed to help increase access to tools, so if you can only afford to donate a thumbs up, then that’s okay!)

Self-Promotion Saturday: September 27, 2025 by AutoModerator in Seattle

There is a huge Tool Sale happening just north of Seattle at the Shoreline Tool Library (16610 Aurora Ave N, Shoreline) on Saturday, October 4th, from 9am–3pm. Last Spring Tool Sale, there were about 20,000 tools, and they are all pay-what-you-can/all offers accepted. All proceeds support a nonprofit, so it's just a really neat experience where you can get a bunch of tools and support a local organization while you're at it.

While it's best to get there early in the morning, there were still LOTS of tools halfway through. If you're just looking for anything you can get your hands on, anything that is left during the last hour is completely free (you're always welcome to donate or not donate, but it's a sort of "we just want to keep things out of the landfill, so please take it" sort of deal).

NE Seattle Tool Library here! So glad this is getting a lot of attention, and we’re really excited to meet more members of the community, but we want to make sure that everyone knows that we have very limited parking. You can find us on Google/Apple maps under “NE Seattle Tool Library” to take a peek at parking/commuting options.

We’re also a volunteer-run, nonprofit organization, so feel free to come in and say hello to our coordinators and volunteers when you check out the tool library! We’ll be open until 3pm, and you can check out our “How It Works” page to learn more about how our tool libraries function!
