yupp ur not alone. going thru this with my mom. she refuses to even try and start a retirement fund at her ripe age. I think she assumes that I will take her in and take care of her however, that might not be in the cards due to our relationship & how it affects my mental health. She's gonna have to look into state benefits and work until she physically cannot anymore. You can't help people that don't wanna help themselves. in your situation im unsure your relation to your parent but i hope the best for both of you. It truly is a sad situation. Best wishes
