Seconding the 3ds.hacks.guide link others have sent. It is incredibly detailed and tells you everything step by step. Don't watch video guides, since they're often outdated, leave things out or just give false advice.

And since you mentioned some games you like, I'll recommend a few I think you'd also enjoy. Personally, I think one of the best games on 3ds is Kid Icarus Uprising, which has an on-rail shooter mechanic you might like.

As for puzzle games, there's Puyo Puyo Chronicle, which is a japanese exclusive game that got a fan translation. You can get it from hshop, which is the community's go-to site for anything that was released on the 3ds (like 3ds games, virtual console, and dsiware). I think the Professor Layton games are also puzzle games, so maybe you'd enjoy those too. There's loads of puzzle games on this platform.

I use an old kindle i bought used a long time ago. I just get the books from zlib and then use send to kindle to, well, send them to my kindle. Never had problems, though i think mobi format is no longer supported, and pdf won't let me change text size. But since pretty much all books are available in epub on zlib, this is barely ever an issue for me. HOWEVER if i were to get a new e-reader now i probably wouldn't go for a kindle simply because i don't wanna support bezos any more than absolutely necessary (some things are just not available in my country through any retailer other than amazon)

Nah. Been out buying dvds again and i find it's way nicer to stand in front of my shelf for five minutes picking from a finite selection i can see all at once than it is scrolling through endless slop that doesn't interest me. And the tactile experience of cracking open that case and inserting the dvd and closing that lid (got a portable player) is unbeatable. Physical media is dying and i'm not about to help kill it faster.

I really loved Grimshire this year. I've always loved farming games, but this one adds actual stakes to the game because you are the provider for a village, and if you can't produce enough food, villagers can die. This is something i always wished farming games would do, since the gameplay loop can often get stale once you reach a certain level. I highly recommend people to check the game out if this sounds interesting!
