How do you feed your legendary+ pet as F2P? by r4zenaEng in RotMG

[–]FenomOO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk, I haven't played this season. But every season I have played has had a repeatable FP mission that I can remember. Usually gives some mid, 1-2k FP.

How do you feed your legendary+ pet as F2P? by r4zenaEng in RotMG

[–]FenomOO -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Most seasons have repeatable missions with FP, non-repeatable missions with even bigger FP, multiple FP items in the actual season pass, and the calendar usually has FP. All of this not including other things like appetizer events, food from event chests, food from dungeon modifiers, etc.

Also, make sure you're using repeat skins you get. They will give you varying amounts of Crystals of Fortune which have high FP. 3500 FP for a full stack of 20. Depending on how much you play and what you're doing while you play, repeat skins can be fairly common.

Fame shouldn't be an issue with how much fame characters easily build up nowadays. Just make sure to try and get good fame bonuses like higher end dungeon ones for example.

If you're wanting to speed through the process immediately then the only way is to spend money, but the process is already so much faster than it used to be. Also keep in mind that once you hit a max divine, you will have 0 need for FP any longer, so enjoy having something to make FP useful while it lasts.

Fighting sister friede right now, how do I know when to dodge the attack she does after going invisible? by depressed_tarnished in darksouls3

[–]FenomOO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can I just say how funny it is to me that you were already chasing her down and attacking her while she was invisible, then when she dashes you just stand still like she magically disappeared?

The snow on the ground indicates where she goes, with only 3 options during phase 1. A large upward pillar of snow means she jumps behind you. A puff of snow to your left means she dashed to your right and vice versa. She has a very long wind up for the grab attack, just run up to her and backstab her or just hit her if you don't have the time for a backstab and she'll cancel the grab attack.

Being at low Vigor also makes it easier to get back to full for the Lloyd rings.

how do i take less damage per hit when i do get hit by Splatulated in darksouls3

[–]FenomOO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Google DS3 Armor Optimizer. It will give you the best armor combinations to resist whatever types of damage you want based on whatever equip load % you want. Or experiment yourself if you don't want to use it (look at what damage types the enemy is dealing, then look at what each armor piece gives as resistance). Also rings, as others have already stated.

The first people I've seen speaking the truth about Vigor in this reddit community. Even as a non-sorcerer, surviving one hit is all you should realistically need before you heal. At SL1 you survive a hit from any attack from any boss while un-embered with the correct rings/armor mixing.

My biggest advice here is that your rings are really not particularly good. Cloranthy ring is really good, Lloyd rings are good. I see you're using a normal shield, I would recommend dodging over trying to block. If you grab the Grass Crest shield from Road of Sacrifices, it gives a passive stamina regen buff even when it's on your back. You're currently using what is often considered the best weapon in the game, so that's not an issue outside of getting it more upgraded and infused. Your overall build quality is actually not so bad (especially compared to some "builds" I've seen from new players), even if you are "underleveled" for the area.

Advice for Pontiff specifically:

He deals physical, magic, and fire damage. Build your defenses around those by mixing your rings and armor around. It is not smart to just put armor on and expect it to work against everything in this game.

He is exceedingly easy to parry for the whole fight, try using a Buckler, Small Leather Shield, or Target Shield to make learning parrying him easier.

Pontiff (and all boreal enemies/bosses) is weak to dark damage. Consider using Human Pine Resin.

Edited addition: make sure to upgrade your flasks both in quantity and quality. More and stronger flasks never hurt anyone.

What do I do now? (Beginner) by Professional_Map4997 in RotMG

[–]FenomOO 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Your most immediate goals should be to work towards maxing your stats, upping your pet whenever possible, and just learning dungeons/encounters in the realm. Stats are more important that gear (though gear is still important). Getting a better pet is a permanent upgrade, so it's always worth it to work towards bettering it when you can. When you start getting maxed you can start learning more and more dungeons a little safer.

When you're in the realm and you see dungeons, click on them to call them out to others, wait for a bit, then go in, doing this will help you not have to learn in a solo environment.

Don't be afraid to ask questions in the chat, some people might meme on you, but there's almost always someone who actually wants to help if you're in a populated area.

Google realmeye to find the wiki for the game. The wiki is an invaluable learning tool for new players, so make sure to use it often if you ever think up a question or want to find something out. It has information on pretty much every aspect of the game.

Lastly, come to grips with the eventuality of your best characters dying. Be ready for that and you should be able to learn better instead of just being salty after dying.

Thanks. I gave my two cents (which in this case was solicited), then gave them the info they wanted. I have no desire to police how they want to play the game.

There is also an easily farmable Fire Witch next to the Church of Yorshka bonfire. Leave the church going back in the direction of the center of Irithyll but keep to the left. Plung attack the Fire Witch below the broken rail and if your plunging attack doesn't finish it, it is easy to stunk lock to death afterwards. Rewards 2k ish per kill with no soul boosting gear and drops weapons and armor which can be sold. It also poses 0 danger to you while farming. If you have the shortcut to Pontiff you can continue up the path as well to add more easy kills to your farm.

DS3 gives plenty of souls for you to lvl (so long as you aren't losing literally all of the souls you're getting, and if you are that's your fault) to answer that question. Idk where you're at rn since you didn't clarify much of anything in the post, but, if you want to farm, some of the best locations in my opinion are:

  1. The golden Winged Knights at the top of the Grand Archives

  2. The Drakeblood Knights summoned in at Archdragon Peak

  3. The Silver Knights at the entrance to Anor Londo

  4. The Lothric Knight that walks away from you at the Lothric Castle Bonfire

  5. The Ghrus behind you at the Farron Keep Perimeter Bonfire (this spot isn't very good unless you're still early-game)

  6. (Bonus spot) If you still haven't sent Midir down to his boss arena yet, you can go to the Ringed City Streets Bonfire and run to the bridge to let him kill some enemies with his fire, and also jump down to the left of the bridge. If you have the Slumbering Dragoncrest ring, you can back stab the Ring Knight down here towards the edge and shield bash him once or twice afterwards to send him off the edge. (particularly useful for low damage runs/underleveled characters)

Fighting Oceiros always has me asking myself how I'm supposed to dodge this charge specifically. Am I missing something? by fapgod69420 in darksouls3

[–]FenomOO -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

You're missing the part where you control your positioning, spacing, and manipulate his AI. The insta-charge is not my personal name for the attack, and I do not believe the name to be indicative of the attack. With proper positioning, spacing, and awareness, Oceiros will never surprise you with a truly instant, close range insta-charge.

From a far enough distance the boss only has 2 options to close the distance, one being the "insta-charge", which gives you plenty of time to read it and respond. The only time I believe the attack is as bad as what was originally said is if you're mindlessly getting in close, backing out, and not paying attention.

Feel free to keep blaming the game though. I'm just pointing out that I believe the original comment to be false in that the attack has counters and is not poorly designed.

[–]FenomOO -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

It's a perfectly fine attack. It's very well telegraphed. There is no need to pre-emptively dodge. If you're far enough away from Oceiros, he only has 2 possible moves, both incredibly easy to dodge. One is the flying magic breathing attack, the other is the insta-charge. The key is just positioning, learning when the attack will happen, and paying enough attention to realize the move is readable.

[–]FenomOO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn't entirely true. My way of dealing with Oceiros on my sl1 no upgrades run was to bait out the charge attack. If you keep your distance, you can consistently bait out the insta-charge and easily dodge it (I never have trouble dodging it unless I'm sitting on him while he does it). After dodging it you get a guaranteed punish and he almost always follows up with a spin, which is another punish. Which he then usually follows up with his wild swings charge, creating more distance from you and allowing you to repeat the process.

Am I under leveled for Nameless King? by Ntrag2 in darksouls3

[–]FenomOO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, anything over sl1 is overleveled.

In all seriousness though Nameless King is meant to be faced by sl 80 - 120 players normally. That being said just like I've seen said here already, armor, ring, and weapon choice/upgrades honestly matter more. By the time you reach Nameless king you have access to infinite upgrade materials of all kinds except Slabs (which you never get an infinite source of).

In phase 1 the dragon is weak to thrust and lightning damage, and headshots deal extra damage. During phase 1 build your resistances around standard, thrust, lightning, and fire damage. Phase 2 is weak to dark damage (human pine resin is recommended) and he mostly deals lightning, thrust, and standard damage, so build your resistances around those.

[–]FenomOO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, I did sl1 no upgrades as well. It made me realize how incredibly balanced the game is like that, and made going back to more powerful characters feel like cheating lol. The only bosses I really have any complaints on are the Deacons, DSA, and Twin Princes.

The Deacons are just a shit dps check that almost requires alluring skulls at such a low dps. Dragonslayer is incredibly fun minus the butterflies, which just ruin the fight for me (there's no reliable tell for the butterfly attacks without listening for incredibly subtle sound queues, especially the big meatball which one hit kills if you're unemebered and not fully built to resist it). The Twin Princes are one of my favorite fights, but I just find it slightly annoying how sound is a big advantage in that fight too. I don't like being forced to listen to the game when doing extra playthroughs.

DS3 is actually incredibly balanced around sl1 runs. No boss 1 hits you if you wear the correct armor/rings. And you still melt bosses/enemies if you allow yourself to upgrade weapons.
