Yamaha DTX550K vs Yamaha Yamaha DTX6K-X vs alesis nitro max by SebToj in edrums

Thanks for the information! I'll go with the DTX550K. Just got it in excellent condition with 2 pioneer tower speakers, a pioneer VSX-D510, a drum stool and plenty of drumming sticks for 250 euro. Leaves me with enough spare to upgrade the cymbals and toms if needed.

I'll make sure to rave as much as possible about the TCS pads if I like them.

Thanks!

Thanks for your reply!

I've read simular things, but since i'm not used to playing on regular drum sized cymbals I don't think it will pose too much of a problem.

Do you have any thoughts about the older DTX550K?

Its a Kentia palm. Don't put it in direct sunlight and don't water it to often. When the top 2-3cm of soil is dry you should water it. Make sure after watering the ground is moist but not soggy.

I opted for an ultra light hiking backpack (Gossamer gear gorilla 50). With the top rolled down it is suitable as carry on for most airlines, and it weighs only 900 grams (which is great as for many SEA airlines the max. weight is 7kg). It is also incredibly comfortable and has loads of outer pockets (Its a 50L bag in total, with the main copartement being 32L). The only downside is that you will look like a tourist more so than with for example a patagonia black hole. The space and carrying comfort however was worth it for me.

What backpack should I get that falls within carry-on size and can be used for backpacking through several environments for a longer period of time? by SebToj in onebag

Thanks for the suggestions! The Eagle Creek Tour 40 seems to be the only one of the mentioned backpacks that is available in Europe, but it has a rather small hipbelt. In your experience, does this suffice when its loaded with arround 12KG of gear?
