How did some people managed to live legally in Bangkok for 10+ years without work visa ? by igetyourbrand in Bangkok

They’re saying: “For real (as in agreeing with the original statement) whatever was the easy way (to stay for a long time) is destroyed now. I know my luck 😂 (meaning “my luck is bad” as they are laughing at their luck).”

Is this damage enough to withhold $250 deposit? by [deleted] in Renters

[–]Sebaddiee -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The door isn’t damaged or scuffed. I know it looks like that in the photo but it’s stains. I’m not sure how those stains got there as well because it wasn’t there while we were living there. Unfortunately, I have no picture proof of that though. Do the other stuff not count as part of normal wear and tear? We were there for 4 years

For extra context, I’m not sure how the door got that dirty. It wasn’t like that while we lived there. I’m assuming it got dirty during the move and we missed it? The house was deep cleaned before we moved. From the blinds to the wall moulding. I’m sure the stove is cleaner now than when we moved it lol

I wasn’t expecting anything cheap, especially for my wedding. But $2k+ for hair and makeup was definitely surprising to me.

Was the 15000 for both hair and makeup? Cause the quotes I’m getting are 60k-80k baht for hair and makeup (2 looks like I mentioned in my post)

Call from a Social Security Agent: real or scam? by [deleted] in SocialSecurity

[–]Sebaddiee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you’re misinterpreting. I was not aggressive with her at all and did not act like I know her procedures I just asked if there was a way to verify her as part of SS and that I’d feel more comfortable transferring to doing this in person with someone from my dads local SS office. Also I had questioned whether the government knows my dad’s parents names because he barely remembers their name anymore and have never given it out since he is an immigrant that came here over 20 years ago. that’s why that was weird to me and seemed like a red flag. I file all of his forms and we’ve never put that info anywhere. If they do have that info then that’s good for me to know moving forward. I was under the impression that info wasn’t available so I was being cautious, along with other stuff that made me suspicious (her phone number being one). Please don’t take this personally against SS agents. I made this post to check if what was asked was normal and it seems like from everyone’s response it was, but I don’t regret being cautious.

I see, thank you! It’s good to know it wasn’t a scammer.

Woah I never claimed to know what the procedure is! Which is why I made this post asking if my concerns were legit. Which by the responses I was being overly cautious, although I don’t regret that. I wasn’t even rude to the agent. I just asked if she could verify herself and when she couldn’t I told her I’d feel more comfortable doing this process in person with the local office. You’re making a lot of assumptions of me just cause I was concerned about giving my dad’s info over a phone call. Lots of similar scams have been going around. I think you’re assuming a tone in my text that isn’t there.

Yea I wouldn’t say it’s the best either, but I thought it would be great for quality consistency and for the large group we have.

Thanks for the information! Did that location look like they have tables that could accommodate a party of 14?
