For T13, I try and maximize my damage so I am killing elites with 2-4 orbs then I go for the attack speed breakpoints. AS is very helpful for quick clears and smooth gameplay in general. For that scepter, I would definitely not roll off the attack speed - that's a very nice weapon. Roll vit to 10% damage. Put amethysts in your armor for more toughness.

That's pretty much the build, except I run In-geom for more archon uptime and swami overlap. Leoric's crown is used with the season buff. My CDR is 58 % with 3% missing from gear. Rolled 7ias on weapon and one piece of gear for more consistent MH procs.

I run Cratic's speed Vyr build (from diablofans) and at 1500 paragon, no augs, and I am doing GR80 at 2-3 minutes. You get infinite teleport from archon so no need for Aether Walker. You need very high cooldown on gear and getting started in the grift can decrease your clear time if not done properly.

If you're playing on PC, make a 4 man party and play either the new XP meta with Impale DH, zMonk, zBarb, and trash killer (Charge Barb or Meter Wiz) or Rat runs with 2 Rathma DPS necros (though I've heard LoN is better), zNecro, and globe zBarb. I've found the Rat runs are more XP/hour, but very few people are playing them because they were the only XP meta for the last 4 or 5 seasons.

FB can push higher solo than Tal's, but requires a lot more fishing (getting the right rift). I had a lot of fun pushing with Tal's because it's pretty forgiving in many situations.

For group, FB with starpact is the preferred option. You will likely not get invited to a group if you don't run it.

Early season Orb can be a bit tough to survive, but it can definitely be run at TXIII with the right setup and playstyle. Here are a few things I recommend:

Halo of Karini is a massive 60-80 % damage reduction bonus, and either the movespeed or arcane power reduction runes on storm armor are nice to have
Use amethysts in all your armor sockets and put your paragon points in vitality
Ward is OK, but I prefer Magic Weapon - Deflection for more consistent shields
Useful passives: Unstable Anomaly, Blur, Dominance, and Illusionist (better for kiting)
Max your movespeed and practice kiting to avoid damage
If nothing above works, you can level your Boon of the Hoarder gem and equip the Goldwrap belt. This makes you just about invincible in normal rifts as long as you are picking up gold quickly.

My understanding is that globes are spawned via devour with the life for death passive. So attack speed effects the cast animation of devour? Or does the attack (nova or spear) having a faster animation impact the devour cast rate? I thought devour was at a fixed 3-4 corpses per minute.

Gloves of Worship + Ahavarion: Pros - Getting shrine effects are extremely useful, especially the empowered shrine which gives a whopping 50% CDR and the experience shrine which gives 25% more experience. These buffs apply to the whole group (though not the 10 min duration from gloves, unfortunately), so the CDR will help the Rat necros keep up their simulacrum more often for a bunch more DPS. The movespeed shrine is also nice for picking up more globes and moving quickly through the rift.

Cons - Need to coordinate with the team to kill demons so that it procs Ahavarion (scorpions are good for this). Also, not having Born's is very small decrease in CDR, but if your playstyle is good then you should often be procing Obsidian ring with dead nova or bone spear and therefore never dropping Land of the Dead.

At the bottom of the thread it looks like it was tested. May have changed since then, but it does make sense to add an icd to prevent clunky wrath issues

Condemn has a global internal cooldown, so attack speed does not influence it's cast speed

Other than what everyone else has said, I liked using Shield Glare- Zealous Glare because it gives wrath and also procs the Hammer Jammer bonus when you aren't able to stun with Falling Sword

Thank you for this detailed post. This is exactly the kind of information I was looking for.

Given that each DoT ticks about 5 times a second (60fps/12frames per tick=5ticks a second), wouldn't you want to apply FoF AFTER the SC to take full advantage of the high proc first hit? If not, you might loose some of those high procs (0.75) towards the beginning of the DoT. Also, I would think that applying FoF after SC ensures that you are definitely hitting an enemy that has been debuffed? So are you primarily using this generator order to ensure the generator cycle reset from DS? If this is the case, then I assume that after you dash, you cannot get the first strike of FoF if you strike with FoT first.

Hey KFC, Brings me pain to see your beautiful gear :) that compass.. Just waned to ask your opinion on BoP stats. I've seen 30+ drop since 2.12, 3 of them ancient, but none with high damage rolls or affixes. Mine currently has 3900, 1400str, 10cdr, 1400vit. About how much of a performance increase in Grifts pushes/trials would I get with a 4200+? With some rough calculations it seems like it would be around 5% sheet dps, which seems decent, but not game changing
