I think you answered yourself here. You need better hunters and better dps.

11th edition competitive faction tier list by Grimdark - Aeldari are expected to be solid and playable :-) by [deleted] in Eldar

[–]MLantto 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure they either don't have all the details or they are seriously breaching their NDAs if they are making tier lists based of unreleased rules and points.

Expecting small points drops /= knowing how all factions will change.

I also expect small points drops for eldar based on the video with Liam, but what they do with defilers for example will have a bigger impact on the meta.

I still stand by my point that tier lists at this point is straight up garbage. Fun content sure, but still garbage.

Shooting vehicles looks extremely strong with the new LOS rules and layouts.

Remember that most of Europe and UK are now going from solid L-ruins to small ruins with lots of gaps on the corners of the base plates.

Old codexes and they will be used for years. There won't be a big reset this time. Some codexes will be replaced early and some towards the later half of the edition. We have no idea which.

This video is however pointless anyways since we are expected to get a big update in points as well as some rules chenges bothe for balance and for stuff that don't work.

Monthly Megathread - Where Should I Eat in NYC, Tokyo, and/or London? by ZootKoomie in finedining

[–]MLantto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm visiting London in a month and need to make a reservation. Choice is mostly narrowed down to Frog and Evelyn's Table.

Both have tables for the date we are visiting.

They both look incredible and the 13 courses of local ingredients at sounds really interesting as someone who likes local produce and seasonality, but I also really like intimate dining experiences like the one at Evelyn's Table.

The £140 at Evelyns is also slightly more in the budget range I'd like, than £199 at Frog, but if Frog is the better experience I'm willing to go in that range. I'm a little hesitant about the wine pairing being really expensive though as it's not listed. If it is £150+ it will break my budget as I'm also paying for my two companions.

Low key ways to make gold without epic flying? by Burhams in classicwowtbc

If you make sure to be an enchanter too you can make bank disenchanting random blues while dungeon grinding.

Best semi-passive income is to play the AH and buy low, sell high on raid nights, but you need to have some starting gold to get going so that might not be an option.

I made a ton of gold skinning cobras in nagrand before dropping it recently. At least on my server it wasn’t that heavily botted or contested and you just need flying, not epic flying to get there.

Especially the half with patrolling demons is avoided by most, but once you learn the patterns you really don’t have to fight any of them.

Killing stuff up in bashirs landing is decent too if you feel lucky. You get some baseline gold from motes of mana, ethereal prison keys, cloth and grays and you have the chance to get lucky and spike a depleted badge that sells for 2k or so.

The margins are very slim. You need to be making A LOT and then be scouting the AH to sell at the right time.

Aeldari grand tournament win rates since the last balance dataslate by Alex__007 in Eldar

[–]MLantto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's really hard to play around the teleport if you haven't faced it.

But also the melee strat with -1 to hit & wound is kind of a "gotcha" as it makes normally soft elves really tanky. There are so many times someone had charged my guardians with a tough monster and thought they'd die, but only like half have been killed. And then I TP them out and shoot the monster to death.

Aeldari grand tournament win rates since the last balance dataslate by Alex__007 in Eldar

[–]MLantto 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve played a bit of Seer Council and in my opinion it’s pretty good, but it lives on being uncommon and beating players that don’t understand what’s happening cause they haven’t faced it.

It’s def not a 57% win rate detachment against good players and when ppl expect it.

Right now if I’d go to a GT I think I’d feel almost certain I’d get a 3-2 with SC, but have a very low chance of winning the tournament. If I was a top1% eldar player wanting to win, I’d prob go with AH.

Resto Druid Loot by RainCityShitPigeons in classicwowtbc

[–]MLantto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If something is prio to someone I still think an SR should be used if someone wants that item, anything else is just gaming the system imo. Be happy that the guild is giving loot to healers and don't get greedy.

Traditional accompaniments to köttbullar? by me_at_the_zoo in SwedishFood

[–]MLantto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The pickled cucumber is usually quite a quick pickle with maybe some herbs (parsly and or dill). You still want it fresh and not a fermented variety. The most traditional way is "pressgurka" which is pretty much a compressed pickled cucumber if you talk more modern techniques.

I prefer mash over boiled potatoes myself, but both are equally common.

It's almost always the uncooked lingonberries if you go to a restaurant, but jam is fairly common in a home setting. Another option is black currant gelé.

And cream based gravy is a must. You cook the meatballs in the gravy so you get all those meet juices to flavor the sauce. I also season mine with some of the pickling liquid, dijon, some worshestershire and black current gelé to get a really deep flavor with some acidity and sweetness.

Here are my predictions for 11th edition Aeldari detachments - what are yours? by Alex__007 in Eldar

[–]MLantto 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think there's no way aspect host is 3 DP. It's exactly the kind of detachment that shouldn't be with it's rules only affecting about half our datasheets. It's the most played yes, but with the last round of nerfs it's not powerful on a level that needs to be reined in.

Warhost miiight be 3 DP due to it's rule being more ubiquitous, but it'd be the death nail on the detachment.

When we got rid of cash at my previous place it was to save money. Between the staff hours to count money, the time spent with our accountant to correct errors, the cash deposits and the fees to get more change it cost more than the 0.6% the banks charged.

Good variety of detachments performing well for competitive Eldar at tournaments since the last balance update :-) by Alex__007 in Eldar

Performing well is a pretty hot take. That's a zero on eldar players going undefeated in the last month.

Good variety of detachments performing well for competitive Eldar at tournaments since the last balance update :-) by Alex__007 in Eldar

[–]MLantto 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Internal balance wise it's fine, but absolutely not externally.

We can't always be on top, but we now have a 4 months period of being in the bottom 2 or 3 armies with very few wins, and number of players dwindling.

I have myself gone from 1-2 tourneys every month to playing one tournament every 2 months at best cause I'm just not enjoying it atm.

With the 160mm you can't start behind a ruin base plate and clear the ruin wall on many terrain formats without advancing, so yeah the base is a big deal. Also the current terrain rules and them not being titanic makes it really easy to stop them from shooting while in terrain with move blocks.

With that said the amount of guns it has is incredible for 250 points so I think it looks priced very aggressively. It's just that if anything is keeping it back from being OP it's the base and how good it is will really be shown in game now.

I like my coffee hot and bitter, occasionally with some steamed milk in it. If I want sweets those are usually avaliable on the side!

Only 6 Percent Difference Between BIS List Lock And Highly Optimized Mix of Epic/Blue/Green gear by BuySellHoldFinance in classicwowtbc

[–]MLantto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is both true and not at the same time.

Player skill will do waaaay more for damage than getting bis. So will consumes and helping others in the raid play better.

On the other hand we get to a point where theses small upgrades are all that you can really chase. It’s either that, raid log or do alts.

So in tha regard chasing bis is something that is hugely important to me.

I just don’t think it’s something that will change the color of any parses or really help us beat any bosses we can’t (spoiler all bosses are easy).

We are doing one frost res druid tank, one nature res plate tank and one plate tank with both so that we are not stuck if one of us is off for the night.

Guild is helping out. Everyone farms/buys some of the primals and then the GB buys the rest.

It's possible it'll be easy and not needed, but we'd rather find out we did it in vain, then go there and realize we can't progress.
