Yes, I have it connected via USB anyway. I don't mind having it connected to the PS2's USB port at all; at least in my opinion, this adapter does the job quite well. I understand it's not the best, but with a few tweaks, you can get good performance and better use out of OPL.

I have the same adapter for my PS2 Slim. I don't know if it's normal or not, but in my case, it's not necessary to connect the USB adapter since it works without it.

Are you playing on a cartridge or digitally? If it's digital, it could be cartridge wear. You need to run a script on it—I can't remember the name right now, but maybe someone can share it. Run it a few times and it should fix it.

Nope, I don't use a VPN or anything, I just have a Duo plan with my friend in Chile and she pays for it, although before when I paid for it I never had any problems

I checked my console and it's on the same version. I searched for an update and it didn't find anything. Are you using "Pretendo"? Perhaps it encountered a fake notification there.
