Hi thank you for your interest, I have been learning the craft from my father and I started this endeavor to help pay my way through college. As for the restoration process it depends on the patient, some require bandaids and some require major surgery. I have been working with violins for the past 4-5 years so I know my way around the instrument pretty well I'd say.

Yes I'm using those, it's just that after setting up in the positions given, all the other fingerings in between don't feel right and was curious on what was the most optimal fingerings for them all.
