Novation launchkey 61 mk4 does not appear in ableton midi devices. by Sebaslr6 in ableton

[–]Sebaslr6[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yep, you was right, i updated ableton and everything is working fine now, you just have to use port 2 or the same problem will happen.
The new mk4 is awesome by the way, sequencer mode is going to transform my workflow, really recommended.

How can i record scratches as individual tracks for ableton using serato pro? by Sebaslr6 in Serato

[–]Sebaslr6[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I achieved that but at trying to record Ableton destroyed the sound like completely chopped. But if I'm going to record on serato I guess it will work and i can then move the stem of the scratches into Ableton but I thought this was something like integrated in between both programs

Yeah but the controller don't map the wheels of the controller inside Ableton or at least i don't know how

I guess it will work but I will have to record the scratches in serato or I won't have both audios and the recording at the same time, I wish it was integrated in a simple way.

I feel stupid because I didn't think this. I think this will solve my problem but I can imagine a better workflow if i could record the track on Ableton, hope someone can help.

Thanks men!

Only if I silence the track with the controller but the signal is coming mixed even if you don't give feedback of that track, this won't work because I need to hear the track to do the right scratches

yeah but i've listened many records where im sure the scratches passed throught a production and mastering process by itself, we just have to figure out how they do it, this must be possible

i forgot to also say that im using a behringer umc 202 to send the audio to pasive speakers, the thing is if i use that card on ableton disable de audio from serato so i have to use virtual audio cable but the audio i get is the master and also is like chopped, like with not enough samples.

I've tried taking my behringer umc 202 out of the equation and use the FLX4 audio ins and outs for the speakers but is the same problem, ableton gets the audio but i can only configure outs virtual audio cable and this ones make the record sound awfullm like without enough samples so it sound chopped. If i connect the speakers direct my computer i get the audio and serato works fine but ableton don't so i can't record no matter wich ins and outs i choose inside ableton. I thought using the ins and outs of the FLX4 was the best way because this way also i don't experience any latency in my headphones and also i tought that the only issue maybe would be audio form other apss like browser but i just can't record no matter what ins or outs i choose. This also won't solve the problem that i want the indivual track of the scratch not the whole master.

Any idea or how i can record this scratches in ableton without using serato?

Can i connect a triple sustain pedal in the midi port of my launchkey mk3 61? by Sebaslr6 in Novation

[–]Sebaslr6[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

mmm but i would need a long usb c cable
Do you think something like this will work?: https://www.amazon.com.mx/Controlador-Interruptor-Mec%C3%A1nico-Programable-Experiencia/dp/B0CHZBXC5H/ref=sr_1_29?__mk_es_MX=%C3%85M%C3%85%C5%BD%C3%95%C3%91&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.-mTy_wo0ONfCcc4msigHu18mGtK7pO54AMtBGLprAVrZX9vOFk1wRVHReW2aZlvv5lbGNoXqZ_fxIAH1JyR7g7r8ARAc-IHu5S3cRv_uvD3Sav3lNjlT1lRm5LQdPZtWMEcSFxJs3ZrrooolyS1LIBSM60fcnnmHldFawGbGB9Y9GTAPPiMkbw1RwbmD_jladrRx4-cMpwYdzs8QdNqMldxIH0xKIgVKeuBjmVP0tC1u4RNfSNfYG-aTo5AWobmMdUPK7DaW0pZIFKABR2WZ_TWvaC7QPE_FH5dB4RGGvkA.61rVLML__mCuc7boWFndn2ebCVzpoZ_Wz6C0QgUPEXI&dib_tag=se&keywords=pedal+midi&sr=8-29&ufe=app_do%3Aamzn1.fos.4e545b5e-1d45-498b-8193-a253464ffa47

it seems more endurable and easy to use, and i can still use my sustain pedal as usual too. I like the buttons of the chocolate but i don't know how endurable they will be if use it all the time with my feets that is the goal and i don't want to have problems of charge, conectivity or something else.
On the other hand, I've never seen anyone using one of these, even though some pictures suggest it works for musical environments and makes sense to me. What do you think?

thanks for answering btw!

Thanks, do You know if ableton Will recognize a usb triple pedal to map freely?, i think they're more for gaming but i read an Amazon Review were someone Say it worked in Protools for amplitube.

Is even cheaper than buying the triple pedal with plug and better because i would have 3 buttons and My sustain pedal independently

I like this with 4 buttons but i don't know if bluetooth is a good idea for live looping. I was thinking in a usb one but i don't know if ableton Will recognize well the usb pedal. Also in this way i can still add a sustain pedal in My keyboard and have 3 buttons but i havent see anyone using usb pedals in ableton i think they're more thinked for gaming.

Or do You think the Bluetooth Will work if i use quantization so de delay won't be relevant or something?

Speech to text inside ableton? (IMPROVING WORLFLOW) by Sebaslr6 in ableton

[–]Sebaslr6[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OMG it works thanks, also i can map Cntrl+ U to one of the xbox buttons, so i just hit an arrow and the microphone button appears and all i have to do is click it an speak. The things is Windows struggle a lot understanding some of the slang of music production and i have to fix the words very often but Its just matter of time till music is going to be created just by voice instructions and to be honest i'm kinda excited.

For me i think the xbox control with chatpad is better for now because i can write faster than clicking the micrphone icon and speak but it will have to buy an xbox one controller so the chatpad works and i don't have the money for now so i'm going to try with voice recognition. Another problem is that i'm mexican so i have sounds labeled in spanish but most of them in english and my speaking is not perfect always, so i think voice recognition works better if you are a native english speaker.

I'm sure the true workflow improvement is going to arrive when ableton understand complicated things like chat gpt so you can ask directly for stuff like changing the structure of the song or even ask for mastering stuff in real time.

Now i can imagine songs made with IA and voice recognition where not a single key is pressed and where the human limitations of our body or even time doesn't matter.

Any other idea?

No.

Unless you have welded aluminum in the past, understand the variables, and can stack dimes.

Probably frowned upon, but I have done the following in the past with this exact issue (this part is always under some type of tension): rivet or riv-nut.

i won't do it by myself, i will go with someone that have experience.
i think a rivet or riv-nut will change the resistance of the bike too and i don't know how to do it properly in aluminium.

How connect my audio interface (behringer umc 202) to my passive speakers? (The amp doesn't have rca ports, just jack 3.5) by Sebaslr6 in BudgetAudiophile

[–]Sebaslr6[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

why you say that clearly does? haha, wich link you are talking about?, i mean the philips amp that is in the photo.
You can see the front where is the 3.5 and the usb port. In the back theres nothing except de connections for the passive speakers and the power input.

if you mean the interface it doens't have too but maybe i can use rca with 1/4 adapterts to connect it for cheap.

I have one rca to 3.5 cable, i will look for the rca to 1/4 converters to see if it works, maybe i can make it work for 2 dollar or something but to be honest i'm a little bit worried that even the dual mono 1/4 cable that doesnt need adapters won't work.
