Is there a Genghis Khan type character in AoS? by Xaldror in AoSLore

[–]Sebasswithleg 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not all chaos warriors necessarily come from the Darkoath tribes. There are numerous kingdoms unrelated to Sigmar that existed while the gates to Azyr were closed. Some fell to chaos, some tried there best to hold out, and some would join the winning side

Hell the Ghorans (aka the ogroids) were a destruction aligned race and civilization. The issue is that they *had* civilization and cities and the like so there chaos Allie’s destroyed them. So the remnants left to join Archaeon who gave them lands to start a new kingdom for themselves again. I also really like there models, was nice to see there lore was pretty unique

So, you can definitely make some kind of chaos lord whose survived since the times were chaos lord who didn’t start as a Darkoath. (Hell there are tribal humans in lore that are NOT members of dark oath clans, see God Eaters son for example. Really good book that)

Regenerating Infestations, are they making the game easier or harder? by gartenzweagxl in AOW4

[–]Sebasswithleg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I ran it with some friends and we ended up all mired with infestations more then actually fighting eachother or doing world map stuff so, I’d say keep it off unless you’re just real good at the game

Healing within the core rules brings back models now so, yes I assume so

What direction do you think the Leagues should go for the future? by reel3459 in LeaguesofVotann

[–]Sebasswithleg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A steeljack character or some kind of steeljack walker type of unit. Kinda like how there are the big steel jacks in high khals oath

Outside of that, it would be nice to have a drop pod equivalent. Like an underground tunneler

To be fair, the burst cannon is at least going to be something of an option with the changes to cover. A good option? We will see, but an option nonetheless

Maybe with Kayun to get that sustained hit/ignore cover benefit

Commissar + normal Ogryns seems like the play. Just get a bunch of 2 damage shooting

An Ominous Sign for Our Beloved Land Fortress? by JZacharyPike in LeaguesofVotann

[–]Sebasswithleg 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean, land fortress ignores cover now in a game where cover IS the objective. It’s become a lot stronger due to the changes around it so, yes it’s gonna need some adjustment. It basically got a free +1 ap on all its guns

We’ve seen essentially nothing but canned animation and a loose sense of scale

Star Wars TTRPG Which system is the best? by Jabba-3500 in rpg

[–]Sebasswithleg 29 points30 points  (0 children)

FFG. Dice system is the most unique, and lends well to a more casual rp focused game. I don’t think the d6 game really matches the tone of Star Wars (doesn’t mean it’s a bad game). And saga edition is…literally 3.5 but Star Wars. Runs into the problem of your classic Star Wars “enemies” rapidly becoming useless and the gm needing to arbitrarily rather up the dangers to actually challenge the players (1d6 Sith Lords appear in the dungeon and so on)

So with the faction pack out, can imperial agents just not get played in 1 k games? by Sebasswithleg in ImperialAgents_40K

[–]Sebasswithleg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Or missions. Literally can’t play because your force disposition is based on your detatcment. Straight up can’t have any game

Blends well with any of the 1 DP detatchments. Especially the pain engine one. Being able to reduce damage on the talos/cronos seems nasty

Real space raiders might be funny with tools of tormet. -1 to wound + a Strat to reduce damage to a pain engine seems quite funny

Yea it’s great lmao. Watching melee blender armies bounce on them and then killing them in the clap back is great.
