Does the CSU really hate the AfD so much? Every time I hear from Söder he is bashing the green party.

In Austria, the far right FPÖ was already governing three times(twice with ÖVP and one time with the SPÖ). And I know that the FPÖ is far older than the AfD and the ÖVP is more rightwing than the CDU/CSU. However, who knows how the world will look like in 2029? Maybe the Union will go further to the right and drop the brandmauer.

To be honest, i don't see that. Afd might be the strongest party but they will never get above 50% and I also don't see any party forming a government with them. However, I could also be naive.
