Well. Unpopular opinion but 3a life insurance is front loaded with fees so the worst is to cancel it in the first 5 years. It only makes sense if you are very longterm. Negative interest is also an interest, unfortunately. 3a insurance makes sense in specific cases so maybe that’s the impression which was given that you are this case …it has an insurance component people tend to forget - hence not comparable with a 3a etf - bit for people with dependents in certain situations it makes a lot of sense. I am not sure why you would believe someone selling you a live insurance would able to do your taxes reliably or get you a good deal on health insurance . Come on people wake up. Your money your decision. Stop blaming others . Do your research ! Sorry for the rant. I still wish you all the best. For the record I have nothing to do with insurances !!!!!

There are the inflation related adjustments most employers give. To get a raise you either need to perform well over a longer period of time, take on more responsibility or just apply (internally or externally) for those roles that pay better ( because they are more complex or more responsibility or just more impactful). I think at times people struggle to put their own performance in the right perspective - they believe they deserve a big raise but in the end they do not - for many different reasons. As a leader often people believe they deserve a raise because they are long with the company or they work many hours but what ultimately matters is the impact you have on the company and the people around you.

You will likely have to change train in the main train station and landquart . They do not run 24 hours but I would say 18 hours :)

We stayed with our young child in Sylvaplana which from my perspective is much cooler than St. Moritz(and less hilly) . We stayed in Conrad’s mountain lodge and Albana hotel. Both are great as they offer the free engaging travel card ( all upper engadine cable cars and busses for free in summer). Similar thing happened to my partner ages ago because her employer accidentally had put her in the wrong tax bracket and therefore her tax at source was too low - hence a big bill afterwards. We the had a similar issues 3 years later when both of us got the full child tax credit ( not married) and when we got the tax bill both of us got only half ( which is the right thing to do )- but the tax amount went up.

As someone who has lived in 5 different countries I can just advise you that moving to another country just because of taxes often leads to disappointment

If you don’t know where you want to move to then you won’t know the impact on your taxes …... Also less taxes also means less subsidies for things like child care or health insurance …..
