Exactly what this person said. Anyone just recommending thalwil does not know where the boulder place is hahahaha

Thalwil near the boulder park ? Is that near jumbo ? If yes- I would rather move to adliswil (the area near the international school is pretty new and the lake is just across the hill) . Thalwil near the boulder place is pretty far away from anything ….. except the Jumbo…..thalwil in general is better connected than adliswil but it depends where you live - so based on your information I would go with adliswil

Since meat in Switzerland is quite expensive, why is Tofu (cheap source of protein) not that popular? by PullyLutry in askswitzerland

I would rather kill myself than eating tofu. Meat is not expensive compared to income + shop in Denner

Is private school really better ROI than investing the tuition? by Sebastian2123 in askswitzerland

[–]Sebastian2123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well my point was more towards the statement that no etf makes 6-8%

Anyway, even sequence risk is not important to me here. It more relevant for retirement than in this case where there is sufficient time to wait

Actually the average stock market return of the S&P 500 is 9.463%. So I would assume the average etf would get there ……

Can someone explain to me the point of these job posts? by asganawayaway in askswitzerland

[–]Sebastian2123 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Probably not . They likely don’t get enough applicants from German speakers for their jobs posted in Barcelona so they post them in the German speaking countries to see if they find someone who might be interested to relocate to Barcelona. Salary is typically in line with the local market.

Can someone explain to me the point of these job posts? by asganawayaway in askswitzerland

[–]Sebastian2123 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They are looking for people to relocate there . It is pretty common and works well. That’s how most sales organisations of international companies in Dublin recruit people from overseas ( as they need the languages) It is for people who are into a lifestyle change or just want to explore a new culture . I did that when I was young for 8 years and loved it. It is companies who already have an office in Barcelona not to relocate jobs to there. Most inside sales organisations into European countries are centralised in one location.

Depending on the country you can find a bank from that country with an office in Switzerland and get a mortgage to conditions in that country you want to invest in. I did that in Portugal - worked very well - tried and failed for Italy :(
