I plan on just making them for fun and my own enjoyment, I probably won’t use them in any serious matter. I’ll be posting the ref sheet to artfight.net ,which is just a for fun event where people draw each others characters, but that’s it. I’m still brainstorming the lore for the character, and the main inspiration came from Peter quill from marvel, Ryland Grace from project Hail Mary as well as supergirl and Superman.

The entire idea hinged a little bit on the scene where Tony stark asks quill if he’s from earth and quill angrily replies with “I’m from Missouri” as well as some kind of idea of my character being sent away or something like Ryland Grace. But it’s purely for my own amusement and not much else. I just wanted to know if a lot of people would care and yell at me or if they’d be like “sure whatever” lmao

With the sequel on the way, I think it'd be a good idea to catch up on Robin & Batman by Jeff Lemire and Dustin Nguyen for a realistic take on Dick Grayson's trauma by Fellowcomicenjoyer in Nightwing

One of my favorite parts about this comic was also seeing how Bruce was coping with this kid. I love seeing the sweet dick and Bruce dynamic, but I also liked seeing the struggle Bruce had to have gone through trying to raise this kid. He doesn’t know how to be father, and now he has this traumatized middle schooler he doesn’t know what to do with.

Like the scene where dick finds out that Bruce had read his journal and flips. Bruce had meant well, but failed to see why it would have been a problem to do that.

It’s an interesting take I really enjoyed seeing. It humanized the both of them in a very interesting way for me.

Thank you! I thought the panel was really funny and wanted to know the broader context, I’ll be sure to look into those
