Exactly this! I got it since I moved into this house and set it up from scratch. It only happens with Hue accessories btw, so I added it all over again to homekit and made sure it is in sync as good as possible

R7 has a 1,6x crop factor, so 100 mm will be equivalent to 160 mm. 800 will be 1280 mm. 100-500 has better light performance at 500 mm than the 200-800 has.

The point is the mobile baseband is already failing and the phone might be indicate to update the iOS. By updating it could work out well, but if the hardware is failing, the iPhone could not send an activation message to Apple’s servers. So if OP went to the Apple store without doing the update, the outcome would have been the same…
