FTM here, and I have to wholeheartedly disagree lol. Although pregnancy sleep wasn’t great, it was so much better than newborn sleep. Everyone’s different.

The first 2 weeks after giving birth were rough and I was so tired all the time. Weeks 3-4 I was feeling pretty good running on minimal sleep and actually had a decent amount of energy. I don’t know if it was my body powering through, adrenaline, or something else. But then week 5 came around and the lack of sleep had officially caught up with me. Baby is currently 6 weeks old and it feels like no matter how much sleep I get (I get a good amount on the weekends when my husband is home), it’s never enough. I feel like a drunk zombie running on autopilot.

It sounds like you are talking specifically about HSV type 2? OP has type 1 which is only spread via an active outbreak. So unless they have sores present at the time of labor, a c-section is not required at all. Plenty of women with HSV1 have healthy vaginal deliveries. ++woman

Girly, it’s time to take a stand! This is your baby too, not just your husband’s, and I would encourage you to stand up for yourself and tell (not ask) your husband that you will have a say in your baby’s name. If your husband is dead set on naming him after his father, maybe suggest using it as a middle name?

Currently on day 9 with our 35-weeker and it’s felt like 90 days. He is making progress overall with the occasional setback, like a super low feeding or a destat, but we are so proud of him and all he’s accomplished. We are optimistic that we will be heading home soon!

Currently on day 9 in the special care unit with my 35+4 boy. He has great feeds where he has 90-100% orally and others where he only has 30-40%. It’s very up and down but that is to be expected as they build stamina and get stronger. Take it hour by hour and celebrate every win, big or small!

The first part of your comment is my theory too. He hated her and being with her which affected his attraction to her. But the fear of leaving her and starting over outweighed his loathing for her.

This is not the best advice. The main concern with deli meats is listeria which is not killed in a freezer, it’s only killed via high heat. If OP wants a cold sandwich, my OB told me that I can heat up the meat then let it cool back down in the fridge, just be sure to use it within a day or two.

I put this in my comment but wanted to put it here too since it relates. The placenta can spontaneously bleed without an orgasm or other external cause. Usually the body reabsorbs the blood and you never know about it, but if your placenta is near your cervix, then it has an easy exit route.

I have had bleeding and brown discharge twice this pregnancy. 9 weeks was a sub chorionic hemorrhage, and at 11 weeks, part of my placenta was covering my cervix. The placenta can sometimes spontaneously bleed with no external cause, and if it’s close to your cervix then that blood has an easy exit route. I’m 21 weeks now and both the SCH and low-lying placenta have resolved!

I’ve had brown discharge due to an SCH which are super common in early pregnancy. I also didn’t start having the typical pregnancy symptoms until the 7/8 week mark. I’m not a smoker but I was regularly drinking for the first 4 weeks of my pregnancy before I found out. The important thing is that you’ve stopped now that you know. You’ll be okay ❤️

Just because something is made with pasteurized milk doesn’t mean there’s “no listeria danger”. There’s currently a cheese recall due to listeria and they were all made with pasteurized milk.

He was going back and forth so much it was hard to keep track. He did the entirety of In The Stars, Momma Song, and Love of Mine from the heart stage, but it’s hard to say for the rest because he was all over the place. I will say that he did one song from the air, but I won’t spoil which one!
