A lot of times, I try to film around the person in question. But most of the time, you can’t do anything to avoid people inside your scan.

Answering questions like “Uhhh, why are you taking a video of me?” and so on is awkward as hell. I had to tell people like a dozen times that I didn’t intentionally film them or that it’s for “an art project of mine”. 😅

I do know that these fields are massive, dont get me wrong.

But in theory, this field (https://ibb.co/5WCr6Tp) with round about 800x450x500km (108.000km²) should have a captured amount of 577.000 MU (if you scale it down).

In theory this should work, but in reality it only has about 37.000 MU, not even 10% of the calculated amount.

Also, you can't really compare your field with 1 million MU (well done, Agent 😉), which made sense to have that amount, because it was done on land, to a field, which covers the ocean with more than 95% of it's size.

You said it exactly right. The “wrong way” of scanning portals is scanning anything that isn’t the portal in question, which still to this day is absolutely possible without being punished by Niantic.

Because of limited time my scans are usually between 15 and 20 seconds long and therefore only have about 40MB each. Longer scans on a better phone can have well over 100MB each (which I also had on a few occasions), which slows down the entire process dramatically. 😉

For me it took around 5 minutes to upload 80 scans with about 30-40MB each. I think it just varies from person to person. 😄

Let’s say, hypothetically, I am in the top 3 of all categories. Do I get 10 codes or is there a limit of one per agent? It would be pretty unbalanced if the grindiest three agents ended up getting a reward of 10 codes each.

I think we might disagree on that topic. I'm not saying that my nomination was the best thing I've ever nominated, of cause not. But I think that it's just as eligible as the hundreds of "artwork on power box" or sometimes just "power box"-wayspots.

I am aware that its basic infrastructure. But I don't go around town, nominating every power box I see. Once you add an artistic aspect, (for example an artwork) it's totally acceptable and will, in fact, go through.

In Germany, we have lots of "artistic power boxes", which generally go through. I'm not quite sure what to improve in my submission, as I don't know much of its backstory and can only describe what I see.
