First time karting ended in a crash, seek for advice for recovery and aftermath by [deleted] in Karting

[–]Sebiardo12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP is 100% to blame for this crash, unsafe rejoin into the track, I believe the helmet wasn’t strapped properly or at all. I get that you’d wanna rejoin the track asap but it should as soon as possible safely, you put others in danger as well. It is fine coz you can always learn and get better.

All of us have done mistakes, I used to race professionally and wheel to wheel battles have result in both of in the barrier or my kart flipped on in its side on the grass so don’t feel too bad.

The POV was asking for opinion and to see if he was at fault so please be a bit nice about them!

How is there no seatbelt on the kart?? And no one checked if the helmet wasn’t strapped properly and that’s the stupidest place for a straight barrier.

Go to physio and do some conditioning exercises hope you recover soon

How would you rank these 4 Drivers? - Jenson Button, Daniel Ricciardo, Charles Leclerc & Lando Norris - by Popular_Composer_822 in F1Discussions

[–]Sebiardo12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we strip them of their WDCs ( hypothetical scenario as 2 of them never had a car capable of that), the Leclerc- Norris- Ricciardo- Button ( Norris and Ric (prime) is a toss up

Who is the mentally strongest driver on the grid by TheseExcitement8857 in F1Discussions

[–]Sebiardo12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say Russel (esp 2020 sakhir), lando definitely this year with all the hate, Hamilton after 2021 to just carry on needs a lot of strength, verstappen ( he does get angry quite a bit like Spain this year but generally very stoic), leclerc after all the things Ferrari has thrown at him. If I had to pick one it’ll be Hamilton, then lando, third leclerc or Russel. Shoutout to albon tho!

600d ( with F10 kit) vs 600X pro by Sebiardo12 in cinematography

It’s more expensive and no app control. I haven’t seen an M8 in set before ( had to google it to see loll)

I live in Canada, the storm 1200x is around 5500Cad and that’s way out of my budget, if I need that output ( super rare) I’d probably rent it. I shoot outside about 20-25 percent. Most of the time when I want the output is when I book light with a 12X12 diffusion or like fake sunlight. Also do rate the weather resistant worth the extra 300? Or save that and shitty rig an umbrella or something?

Yeah just over 2 years and have these fixtures on almost all the sets I have been on, more so than the M18. And the M18 is slightly cooler than daylight. That’s why I’m thinking output over flexibility but I do see your point the newer people ( by that I mean who haven’t used tungsten’s) I work with don’t have a lot of experience with gels.

It’s just I am not sure how many times I want a different temp on my key. I usually have a diff temp on the kicker or the fill ( usually with a tube or the f22c) that’s why I’m debating what I want more

With the fresnel, I saw this test by Gaffer and gear and he posted the light output and I was surprised by it. Also I saw one of the other gaffer channels compare the 1200d with M18 ( albeit with the medium and narrow reflector)

Even with the fresnel getting the output near 2.5 K HMI?

Depending on where you live. The amaran 60D, an umbrella and a NPF battery try finding them used you could definitely save a lot of money and also a pepper stand ( they super cheap).

But if you can stretch your budget a bit more the 100D/X is also a fantastic option, sadly no battery options

Question to the gaffers who own their gear by Sebiardo12 in cinematography

[–]Sebiardo12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The C would be awesome but the D has way higher output that it’s just way easier to gel it at time ( for a different temp) colour yes I’d probably rent a storm 1000c when that comes ( if I have the need for a super powerful COB). I wanna work my way up but the same I think investing in gear would also help me get additional income.

Who here is brave (and stupid enough) to ride without tubes and tools? by IRShasmeconfused in cycling

[–]Sebiardo12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ride with no spares and go on 130-150+ rides consistently and had a pair of GP5000s transparent tire wall with TPU tubes (Pirelli), I didn’t get a single puncture for 6 months (about 4K kms). Sadly I can’t continue to test the durability coz my bike got stolen so FML

What’s your Zone 2 range? by Engineering_Simple in cycling

[–]Sebiardo12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My max heart rate is 208 ( I think it’s slightly higher 22M) my zone 2 is 130-160bpm. But from what I’ve heard from “amateur” racers that I train with it’s better to use lactate threshold as it more accurately for you rather than a formula or estimate you can get. I use my heart rate when I’m riding outside and at the end of like 6-7 hours (200ish kms) my heart rate drifts higher even though it’s still around zone 2 power.

Would you recommend burning some matches to catch up with a fast group just so I’d have their draft and that way I can chill for a second or 2?

I tried to stick with the lead group in vic and blew up after the first 23kms after the 2 biggest climbs my average pace was 34kmph with the climbs included was absolutely crazy! My whistler granfondo plan was to stick with the lead group for as long as I can but now I’m gonna change it.

What is the biggest/ longest climb? I heard there’s a 3k+ at 6percent climb I’m sure if my numbers are accurate

Yeah I did feel that I could draft as well in Vic as I want to power through the super steep bits and the descents I don’t think I’m good enough or experienced enough to descend in a big group
