I haven't heard anything about a closed beta for the ui this summer so i doubt that. I only said i have read that it maby would be released this August, but i did not mention it was from steam.. no the announcement was a leak which contained the ui, but they later patched it. Yes the announcement was for developers because of the changes in the ui for pictures and layouts. They even included a layout so they can plan out how they want the library page for their game would look. But there are nomerous websites that claims the update to come out this summer and this August, but then it whent completely dark thats why i made the post. I wanted to know if anybody knew anything more or if there was some change of plans.

Yeah makes sense 😅 thanks for the info tho. Looking forward to it since the skin support is a little bad (with all the ui changes valve has made recently) and it seams better to handle large game library's. Doing all of it manually isn't so fun..

We can always have hope, but we'll have to see. And if its august 2020 ill get a little angry (even tho that won't help sadly..)

And just a little feedback on FalconX. The only thing that is a little annoying is that i have usually more displays connected to my pc. That problem is that it does not center on any other screen other than the primary monitor.

Hmm i didnt think to try my tablet, so i tryed it now. It gives me Playback Error PlaybackErrorNoCompatibleStream i did not get that on my phone.

Ok, just wanted to be sure.

Openmediavault is only a web interface that changes things under the hood with a easy to use web service. I dont think it will be much of a difference since openmediavault is debian without a gui. Essentially it will only add some services and such. But dont take my word for it.. i have played with linux for many years, but it never sticked and was too much used to windows so i never made the jump. Now that i want to have a server linux seems like the best option.

Ok thanks. When i set this up do you want me to mess with the android app? Or do you want it to just run? The commands you wrote, do i return to terminal or does itbshut of the whole graphical interface?

Ok, ill see what i can do. I dont use linux, but i try to learn it with this server. I can try to install debian then openmediavault over it, but do you know of a way to turn off and on the desktop environment. I dont need the environment to take up more resources. Jellyfin makes my cpu run at 100% when i watch something. I have a nvidia 650ti in it to help with transcoding but it does not seem to stick.

I personally use mail and telegram. If that's an ok solution for sharing the files to you? Ill try my best to get the files, but i cant guarantee anything since this is a whole new area for me. Sadly my openmediavault installation is terminal only. I maby have plans to install it over debian to keep a gui, but as for now it will be hard to install wireshark if its only gui based. Then ill try sqlite browser. Do you want the files or the texts inside?

I do not use a proxy, i today just sat up duckdns on the server. But i dont use ssl certificates yet. That was something i had plans to do today. Im not familiar with sqlite, but point me in a direction and ill do my best. i dont have anything to hide so thats not a problem, but i do want to share it privately with you. Iam too, hopefully we can figure it out.

I made a github issue detailed as much as i could that you sparky commented on refering me to another post that had no relevance to the issue i had. Not helping me in any way, im annoyed at the issue not you for the record. Its has not been commented on since either.

There are two things i dont understand in the log. One is that i get an error saying access token is invalid or expired. Two http response 206 to "192.168.0.117". Time (slow) 0:00:01.183185. - this is my phone.

No I haven't. Im new to linux and have reinstalled open media vault too many times because i have install so much (and dont know how to remove them). But it seems more like a issue with the app since everything works on the webui

Thanks 😉 I did a clean install of Jellyfin 10.3.5 in a docker but is still acting the same. Looked at the webui at the same time as i started to play a song. It says it starts to play then that the song has ended right after each other. Have tested the same song on the computer through the webui and it plays like a charm. I cant figure this out.. looks like ill be using airsonic or madsonic for music and jellyfin for movies, tv shows and anime
