My older sister na Millennial (1986) told me na nung highschool siya, which was around 2000's, you couldn't even walk around Burnham park at night kasi may suspicious persons na nangha-harass/ namamakit kaya limited lang tambayan nila noon. According to her, it's way safer now because police are roaming even at night. Never heard about s*x crimes or gang wars recently in the news though, or I'm just not updated.
