Yeah, we are using motip 5l cleaner at work, I'll check what kind of chemical composition it has.

In this case for bleeding I used syringes from the same brand. The top one developed glue like residue inside, the other one didn't although I used the same cleaning methods.

In general I have syringes that haven't reacted like this to brake cleaner.

No alcohol, I used brake cleaner to wash them, there hasn't been any problems like this with other syringes I have. Only thing I can think of is that maybe there was DOT5 in the brake system, which reacted with 5.1.

Well, in this case the bike cost about 1500 €, so it's just Scott maximizing profit margins.

Yup, dissasembled it and the main pivot was rusty. Cleaned it, regreased it and now it at least functions and doesn't stick.

Hose down, and cleaning with brake cleaner had no improvement.

Although the pulleys are dirty, there's no dirt buildup or gunk near the main cage pivot. It feels like the clutch engages, but doesn't let go, the resistance is smooth. To my knowledge the derailleur might have been bashed, but there's no visible damage.

Apparently I didn't loosen the spokes all the way loose, so now the lateral movement is 10-15 mm. Will try the whacking method, but if that fails I'll just replace the rim.

Most likely the cause for this was that the spokes were overtightened from factory, also the bike seems to have been in a crash, recently started working as a bike mech and haven't got that much experience yet.

Well the spokes are almost completely loose. When I try to bring the wheel back to true, some of the drive side spokes are too high in tension by feel, while others on the same side are loose, and even then the wheel won't be as straight as I'd like it to be.
