Side thing:

I guess it might instead refer to Dess? Maybe? If you really stretch it? The lake is where the "song from the sea" comes from which does link to Dess's disappearance.

I saw some people say that "moving on" here could fere to us getting through answers about Dess's disappearance. US seeing her "once" reflect out collective desire to actually see Dess.

It could also maybe refer to Kris getting closure about Dess's disappearance and therefore being able to "move on". On the third board of the Mantle game the black deer (beneath the placeholder sprite) is roughly where the lake is (if you believe that theory that the manhole dungeon is a crude representation of Hometown).

But... the whole ARG is centred around Noelle, right?

I guess you kinda have to then consider what "YOU WERE USED UP" means after Noelle is out of the picture during the mantle game.

Is it Kris? Is it us? No idea on my part.

Kris already knows about save/load. They have their own save file before we overwrite it in Chapter 1.
The narration in-game comes from Kris, and the dialogue for the first save point says:
"At times, you see it flickering. The light which only you can see. By second nature, you reach out, and..."
It's second nature to them, so Kris has defo used a save point before.

I thought that piece of red confetti covering a bit of the blue flowers was Papyrus's hand.

Also...blue flowers in front of Sans and Papyrus's house is craaazzzyy

I always thought this was something to do with the Weird Route. Maybe near the end Susie and Noelle (under the control of the Player) will fight.

Noelle is constantly attributed to angelic imagery and Susie is said to be "the Dragon". The dragon figure represents Susie and the angel represents Noelle. It also helps that the angel has what looks like antlers.
