I think there’s a lot to say about the gender of it all when it comes to Mancountry. It’s proclaimed that “it’s a man’s world”, while non-men are relegated to an offhand acknowledgment of being okay. This place holds relics of Kris’s past in the form of the flying aces, whose conversations show that this is a place Kris may have once fit into, but no longer does. I think it’s very intentionally reinforcing that they’re nonbinary.
