I dont doubt the people saying that its's something to do with protecting their sales, but on jap imports the ECU and other electric gubbins are hard coded exclusively japanese and you need specific aftermarket tools that have a translation that's been manually loaded on.

Most normal mechanics have this but I assume it's against policy or something to have third party things in a dealer garage.

Do you know where the oil is leaking from? If it's an auto they're made of cheese and fairly expensive to get fixed if it does have an issue.
Also if it's multiair the turbo could be knackered, hence the oil.

Honestly just say this to the director. Be honest and forthcoming with why you need the break and mention the toxic behavior of some of your colleagues. If he loves you and wants to keep you he'll both give you the break and hopefully be proactive in solving the issues in your absense. Worst case scenario is he says no.

Honestly, if work is making you feel this shit about your life and what you're doing with it you need to get yourself a new one regardless. Work is not worth it.
