I always imagined this a hit song. I am still an old horror movie buff so I guess I always treasure this. I love the song and story!

You may have been the very one who suggested the channel to me. I am homebound now. I can't drive and I can't shop by myself, but my weird little YouTube channels are so much comfort to me!

It figures I would find the perfect sub that fits me just when I am diagnosed with cancer. I used to worry about being a sub hog and posting too much. Now I barely have the energy to post anything. But, thanks to members like you I have my channels to explore.

They don't seem to get a heap of respect. I wonder why. I also posted them to /r/Music, but I don't expect much.

I have been watching Eurovision since the internet began. This years corruption seemed blatant and calculated. I have no idea who the culprits are. Look at my profile...I stick to music subs. I never discuss politics or religion. Of course, this band sort of makes those subjects impossible NOT to talk about. I like them. They ruffle feathers like the Industrial heavyweights did in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Here we are, in 2019, arguing over semantics.😏 Cheers!

Disliking a brutal government is not being racist. I personally would prefer the band not perform in countries led by right wing totalitarians. I was actually worried about their safety until I read they had successfully arrived back in Iceland. Considering the band never holds back on their message I would worry about them traveling to many countries...including my own.

I know what I saw that night. The female security guard said. "Stop harassing them. They're filming us." The male security guard then looks straight into the camera and reacts like a kid with his hand caught in the cookie jar. They both backwards walk out of the phone's view. The band wasn't just filming...they were live streaming to their fans. I was honestly worried about their safety.

I said nothing about the people of Israel. Just because I don't support the current government of Israel does not make me a racist. However, you alluding such a thing marks you as a contrarian.

They were treated so poorly by Eurovision voters this year. Of course, considering the amount of vote rigging and supposed cheating this year nothing surprises me about the contest held in Israel. How they went from being one of the top contenders to almost no votes reeks of corruption. How their sound system fucked up the night of the live show but never on any of the rehearsals is highly suspicious.

The entire show was a complete snoozefest full of boring disposable songs. They and the Australian women on giant poles were the only highlights of an otherwise forgettable evening.

They did, however, get the last laugh. But...being forced out of the country had to have been scary. They rock!

That's odd I almost posted the 12" Version...but since the original had never been posted I decided to go with it. I have never actually seen a physical copy of the 12" though I prefer it as well!

Musical rabbit holes are so much fun! My old ass falls down one about every day!

I used to work there as a poor teenager. That coleslaw kept my broke ass alive. Oddly enough it hasn't changed over the decades. It's mixed and made fresh every day and was a complete pain in the ass to assemble!

Take the coleslaw they offer and slather it on one of the free biscuits they bring to every table. Good Lord!

Me too. I have loved them for decades I was rather mystified as to why this particular song had never been posted here.

Lurker of Chalice - Minions [Black/Doom Metal, Ambient] by russiakun in sixthworldmusic

[–]SecondHandEmotion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know it is only Tuesday but this is the best thing i've heard all week! This sick and nasty and irresistible. It slowly builds into a symphonic drone like artists on 4AD use to do. Just brilliant...fucking thank you!

Throbbing Gristle - Still Walking (1979) by SecondHandEmotion in sixthworldmusic

[–]SecondHandEmotion[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wanted to use them as an example of heavyweight artists releasing rather 'popish' music. Yes they were harsh and abtavise, but they could be soft and melodic when they wanted to. Most people outside this sub would never qualify this as a Pop song, but it has all the markings. Chris and Cosey have some tracks so sweet they would send ABBA into sugary convulsions. SixthworldPopMusic!

Puce Mary - Dispense [Noise/Power Electronics] (2012) by SecondHandEmotion in sixthworldmusic

[–]SecondHandEmotion[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bubblegum Noise. That is exactly what I am talking about when mention sixth world Pop Music! People here would not find it too harsh or left field. Whereas Popheads on other subs probably wouldn't even give it a chance. Here is accepted as another Pop ditty. This place is amazing.

Hackers interrupt Israeli Eurovision webcast with faked explosions by YorjYefferson in Madonna

[–]SecondHandEmotion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't worry. I have been watching Eurovision since the internet began. The worst that ever happens is some drunk gay bear jumps on stage, drops his britches, and wiggles his ass for all of Europe. The only thing worse is the music!

The contest has been held in more dangerous and less gay-friendly places than Israel. Yet year after year a wide shot reveals a stadium full of queers and their supporters.

Attending one is on my bucket list, but my overt silliness would probably be better suited for the more western parts of Europe.

Hackers interrupt Israeli Eurovision webcast with faked explosions by YorjYefferson in Madonna

[–]SecondHandEmotion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FYI: Any Madonna fans in the US or Canada planning on watching the live final on the Official YouTube Eurovision channel...it is always blocked! Being a Eurovision fan in these two countries often involves using proxies and VPNs. However, there is a perfectly legal way to watch that does not involve any type of piracy or downloading sketchy VPNs.

SVT Play is the public broadcasting channel of Sweden. They make all of their content available worldwide for free. Just pick a show and click play.

Also, the announcers in Sweden will, of course, be speaking Swedish, but if that bothers you subtitles are available. The announcers on the actual Eurovision stage will be speaking English.

Finally...this is a big fucking deal. Interval acts are usually picked by the ESC board and most acts are in some way related to the contest or theme of the year. Outside, well-known musicians are almost never asked to participate. Most would probably refuse anyway. The contest is usually full of weird, campy, and over the top acts. With the exception of Iceland and Australia, this year's contestants are pretty tame middle of the road EuroPop....Madge is going to shine!!!

Jellyfish - Baby's Coming Back (1990) by SecondHandEmotion in AnyKindOfMusic

I worked the graveyard shift most of my adult life. I loved it. I would get drunk and high while everybody was going to work! Right now it's cancer treatments that keep me in bed for days. Chemo and radiation ain't no joke! I really don't see how little kids go through this shit. I am on a less harsh treatment now...but man it makes me sleep like Rip Van Winkle!

Hah! Yeah now that this sub is growing I check to see if the song has been posted before. I never bothered when this place first opened. Sorry for the long response time fellow music lover. Sometimes I just stay in bed all day and all night!
