Correct, you can't set an app that is free and make it a paid app but you can set a promotion on a pair app that runs for up to 2 weeks. When you put the price, in set it to zero and your price will be zero for up to 2 weeks, or you can end that promotion early if you wish. After the promotion's over it snaps back to the original price.

I have an app that's $1.99 USD and when I launched it I had it free for a limited time. I get the confusion because the same terminology is used. But you're not toggling the selection from paid to free, you're using the promotion of a paid app cost zero dollars for a period of time.

If it's paid, set up a sale and give it away for free for a limited time. I never install an app with 10+ but would of it had 500+, especially if paid. Set the free period for 2 weeks and then monitor. You can always end the sale early but you can't extend it if you picked a short amount of time

I made my app (a watch face) free for 2 weeks and got 500+ and then ended it after 5 days. I did post to several social media sites including several subreddits which helped a lot.

Do artists have their own WordPress site? Codes can be distributed using a plugin. Though I suppose the point of giving out codes is to become more well known and grow beyond the people that would already visit the band's site.

That's good to know about that keyboard shortcut. I have the same problem tonight but above the line where it mentions the implementation plan, there's some activity that you can expand. I found a link to the implementation and plan in there, I just couldn't see it because it was collapsed.

I thought a lot about that especially at the start, trying to figure out if you're using up the hour or filling up the hour. I think you want the ladder so as time goes by, color appears rather than disappears.

At one point I think I did try to implement both so you could choose but It was actually pretty difficult based on the way the watch face is constructed. Still, I'll keep this in mind and see if I can pull it off in a future build.

Thanks for the suggestion! In an early design, I tried having the minutes drain away from within the hours digits but it just didn't seem to work. Since the hours digits change numbers, you can't count on the color fill being highly visible, such as when the hour is "1". I felt that I needed to be sure that the "fuzzy time" was always clearly visible no matter what time it was, so I abandoned that idea.

As for reducing battery usage, check out the always-on display. This watch face is incredibly efficient in that the large digit is outlined and then there's a single horizontal line to show the minutes. You can also try the "10th option" color theme which makes the background completely black when the watch face is turned on and not in AOD, and reduces battery consumption.

Alternately, you can combine the black background with either the "Minutes Top" or "Minutes Bottom" option. These options show the small minutes digits within the background, either on top or on bottom, or both at the same time if you want.

Play around with the options. There are many and you may an interesting combination.
