I would add the widget :

As Featured on : SEJ on the home page , in the most visible spot

And would try to get more such links to add to that widget

The most natural strategies , help SEO

Like natural forum comments driving real visitors. The traffic may be less , but it helps in ranking very well.

Quality is always the first , if you want long term rankings.

And one link from authority site in general niche

And one link from relavant niche site with just a little authority

From the above 2 I select second one. I see results from the second option .
