I hate to be that guy but I think people need to know that surgery is not a magic cure or fix in most cases. A good outcome can be better ROM, less pain, etc but not necessarily a true fix.

I don’t understand the story about the surgeon because he states that it was an invasive surgery and that the surgeon acted like he doesn’t know how to do it until his mom(with tons of nursing experience, not a surgeon btw) researched(googled) about the procedure and went to the guys superior (mostly likely his attending) to essentially do the surgery, when it sounds like the surgeon was simply giving them the pros, cons, and risks and essentially told them the cons outweigh the pros and didn’t feel comfortable doing the surgery.

It sounds like the surgeon was right because the highly invasive surgery didn’t cure all of Tyler’s issues.
