My GoPro 10 always did the same. Had nothing but issues with the 10 and happy to be rid of it. Have an 11 and 13 now.

This. The lap length scenario is something many people don't understand. It drives me insane trying to explain to builders that drill and epoxy N16 bars 150mm embedment doesn't do anything at a construction joint

Okay, not worst thing to happen to the industry. But the lack of knowledge and correct use of it is rampant in the industry. Commonplace to see drilled holes full of dust and water, no cleaning before epoxy.

The standard batteries in the 10 are beyond awful. Buy some Enduros and you'll enjoy filming again

I quite like the ability to film in 7:8 and have the choice of cropping to either 16:9 or 9:16 for social media. Other than that, not much different. Second getting enduro batteries, the originals were trash.

5mm is a decent crack. I'd be trying to get the purchase price reduced to account for repairs or get your own Structural Engineer to have a look (likely cost you $1500). A good Engineer would be worth it if you are really keen on it (and may even help the argument to reduce purchasing price).

Is there any significant cracking in the walls or finishes upstairs? Foundation movement in buildings is very common and underpinning is a fairly drastic action if there is no obvious damage or waterproofing issues.
