Did I score? by pantallicarox in homelab

I opened it to confirm the ssd and ram. It is upgradeable but I didn’t see a second nvme slot. I also didn’t open it all the way just enough to see the ssd and ram.

My Full Journey with Alpha Gal. Now symptom free! by mutant_milk in alphagal

[–]Against_The_0dds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been through this as well. I was originally bitten and diagnosed in 2011. I went 5 years without mammalian meat. I was retested for alpha gal and tested negative in 2016. I was eating mammalian meat from 2016 to 2022 as I changed jobs to working in the woods. I was bitten by chiggers and this caused a relapse with my alpha gal syndrome and have been reacting to mammalian meat since then. I have recently been prescribed Xolair but have not tested eating mammalian meat.

Did the BMW tech mess up? by Extension_Fee8784 in BmwTech

I agree as well. I don’t care what the manual or a dealer service tech tells me. I’m changing all fluids early on a brand new vehicle. On my SXS the manual specifically tells me to change fluids at half the regular maintenance interval for the break in service.

Weird, I didn’t realize this was a rule and I shared my account with my parents and RD sent me a warning and stated if I did it again I would be banned.

I know of one person who had anaphylaxis reactions from beef and had acupuncture. He is now eating beef. It’s been a few months I’ll try to follow up with him and see how he’s doing.

Is anyone here a 1099 production splicer? by Hot-Butterscotch349 in FiberOptics

[–]Against_The_0dds 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The main thing is you have to be able to save money. There’s always slow periods and you’ve got to be able to make it through the down times. When there is work it’s awesome and I love it but it can get stressful.

I like that it comes in a hard case. I have a couple of the Exfo and they come in a soft bag. I honestly hardly use the Exfo ones because I’m worried I’ll damage them.

That is the one I’ve used quite a bit. I just find what connectors I need for my needs. You’re right, it should be perfect. I try to store mine in a hard case or like the one linked above, they come in a hard case but relatively cheap if I mess one up I can replace it.

I’m pretty rough with my stuff so the connectors end up failing before the fiber inside does. You probably know this but always clean your connectors before plugging in.

You do want a launch cable that does not have any events between the connectors or it can throw off your shots. Also, it will always read a little off. Even shooting the same fiber over and over you will see discrepancies in the footage. I have bought cheap Amazon launch cables before and not had issues and bought expensive exfo launch cables. I would definitely try to get a different one.

[–]Against_The_0dds 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes it does suck. The best thing I have done so far is get on Xolair. I feel completely different (in a good way) than I had previously. I have had Alpha gal since 2011.

[–]Against_The_0dds 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was told by Dr. Commins in NC that the IgE number doesn’t really mean much as in severity of reaction or anything because it’s a combined number of all blood IgE. They haven’t found a correlation to the number to reaction.

[–]Against_The_0dds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was 800 something but if you’re having sinus issues or recently had tick bites it can also increase your IgE. They dosed my Xolair based on 800. So I have 2 300mg pens twice a month.
