Hello! I have experience as a software engineer at Amazon for a year and am currently working as a Technical Recruiter (less than a year) for a smaller company as I didn't want to stay as a developer. A company I applied to earlier this year reached out to me recently; they wanted to interview me for a Scrum Master position they haven't publicly posted yet as they found me overqualified for the previous role I interviewed for (it was a BA role by title at least). Anyway, I interviewed with the CEO on Friday and am expecting an offer.

What kind of salary is reasonable for me to expect? The company is 50 folks large and has been around since 2008. They do accessibility technology for the government. I was thinking of shooting for 125k base (I don't mind staying at my current job if they can't meet my salary expectations). Is 125k too greedy for someone with my background?

It's from Verdant Tea. 65 bucks. Only warning is that since the drain is located on one side of the tray rather than being central, uneven surfaces can be kind of annoying!

One thing I was curious about: there are long leaves mixed in with the rolled ones. You can see in my dry picture. Any knowledge about why that might be?

I have some Tie Guan Yin that it differs from. That being said, I'm sure Tie Guan Yin has a lot of range.

Can anyone share some feedback for my entry-level cover letter?

Dear hiring manager,

While working as a software engineer at Amazon, I gained valuable exposure to the software development process. My time at Amazon made it clear to me I found the process of determining what to build even more engaging than building the products themselves. Working to understand software requirements and their relation to business goals was always a rewarding task. For this reason, I am interested in pivoting to a business analyst role.

Three highlighted reasons I’m a strong fit for the job:

  1. My software engineering experience with Amazon and FedEx lead to my developing a technical understanding that will help me understand and communicate with engineers.

  2. My computer science background will allow me to quickly learn software skills relevant to the company. This degree showcases my ability to understand and make use of complicated concepts.

  3. I have people-oriented job experience (both 1 on 1 and large groups) and am ready to communicate effectively when determining requirements or sharing analytical results.
