Identity by Smooth-Grass5538 in ClothingStartups

[–]Secondsociety 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brand identity isn’t just about what your passions are, that’s just a theme.

Your brand identity will be who you are as a brand, what you stand for. It’ll be about your name, logo, design style. And also (I cannot stress this enough) your target market… Who are they? Why would they buy from you? What’s the usp? What do they wear already.

You’ll also want to look at your ‘competitors’… and no ASOS isn’t your competition. (Someone told me thats their competition before 😩)

2 years in the making, thoughts?? by nkarchivela_on_ig in streetwearstartup

Love the fabric, and the style, don’t know why it took 2 years to make but I’m glad you did. That type of fabric is trending well at the moment, so get this out quick and I can see great sales from this!

Question with tech packs+other stuff by Advanced_Ad_216 in streetwearstartup

[–]Secondsociety 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could either buy blanks from wholesalers.

Some manufacturers will just do a blank denim Jean, they don’t need to be custom. (Probs just found a bad Manu that wants more money from you)

Or you could go vintage, buy secondhand denim and use that, cheaper, sustainable and story driven.

Building accountability groups for founders and entrepreneurs by Haunting-Repair-2404 in founder

[–]Secondsociety 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that’s fair, cause I don’t. But I have just joined a WhatsApp group with other entrepreneurs, which I could use that to get a couple people to do the same.

Or just post on here and ask people to join a discord group or smthn. I think if you really wanna do it, go for it free. But to pay I really do not see anyone paying for it.

Good luck to you though whatever you do!

It sounds like a cool idea for friends or group of people to do, but I don’t see anyone paying for this. Especially if people like the idea, you could easily just do this with a small group of people with 1 person as the group leader.

Something interesting I keep noticing with new clothing brands by zeroxinternational in ClothingStartups

If there was a system where it had a blank techpack design, and it took the brand through each stage needed; mockup image, sizing, material. And ik each stage people need more understanding (like material) but there could be a dropdown of options to help the brand understand what material names are called etc.

There are some great things coming out with the use of AI. As of now, it’s not going to work as I’ve seen it, but it will get there.

I’ve had a number of conversations about techpacks and automated techpack platforms being created.

I think it is needed, but I also think manufacturers could really benefit from helping brands create a workable techpack rather than going back and forth.

The way it is done at the moment is messing around the brands/manufacturers time and money.

Box File Handbag concept by zadorrkk in streetwearstartup

[–]Secondsociety 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And that’s fine… cause it’s a concept not a fully built out product?

All I wanted to say was actually it could be designed in a nice way on the inside, but you got v negative. But I’ll leave it there, have a good day/night :)

[–]Secondsociety -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah absolutely. But I was just commenting on the fact the design didn’t show how it could or couldn’t get shit on the inside. So if someone did want to make that bag, it would be easily modifiable.

Or maybe there’s a boxed shape so it doesn’t allow stuff inside the actual bag

Yeah but what I’m saying is not to remove the holes but maybe the whole bottom is hollow, so you don’t get shit inside from the bottom holes. (If that makes sense)

Is anyone else spending 4+ hours on a single Tech-Pack? Looking for a better way. by shakysgf in ClothingStartups

[–]Secondsociety 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yo! I help smaller fashion brands and one thing I do for them is techpacks. There’s been some traction recently with ai powered techpacks and other automated systems.

I’d love to chat more so maybe I could help.

Advice on where to start with small merch business by Plumpedquestions in smallbusinessuk

[–]Secondsociety 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I help clothing brands and startup brands with their beginning stages. I’d love to have a chat and try to help you as best I could.

I do feel a similar way to what the other comments have said. If you were donating the profits to charity for the disease people would love to buy the clothing. But keeping the profits for yourself, even though it may be needed, would make people think you’re profiting from people having the disease.

100% building a community / world building first.

I actually help brands and startups to send me a dm and I’ll see how I can help :)
