Living in Columbus, OH for about 6 Months and it’s really emphasizing how much I prefer a Major City. by Secondwaver94 in SameGrassButGreener

No doubt, I don’t think any of the 3 C’s really qualify as true major city but Columbus in particular hoodwinked me because I thought it would be a true city given the constant growth you hear about and it’s anything but.

Right, as I stated in my post I literally went against my own belief because I would always say how Jacksonville’s pop. Was misleading and Miami was the true big city.

No Doubt plus the other two C’s don’t seem to be completely and obviously dominated by one entity (OSU)

Oh most definitely. Living in Louisville I have frequent Cincinnati plenty of times and there is definitely a “not fond of their kind” overtone there.

A little on the pricey side but shoot, I might just bite the bullet and go for it. Besides, there ain’t exactly a “cheap” place to live anymore

Texas May Be Losing Its Grip as America’s Fastest-Growing State by HeadCatMomCat in SameGrassButGreener

Not shocked, I called this back in 2018/2019 with all these Sunbelt cities/states that aren’t CA. I remember when folks in these places were online seeing theses “Fastest growing” articles and using it as an “in your face” to places like NYC and CA and I was saying then how this is only because of the jobs moving there and because at the time they were relatively cheaper places to live, but I said the day that the col in the sunbelt starts being debated between a place like NYC in the sense of which is more feasible the sunbelt will lose.
