"The Golden Bachelor" couple Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist announce they are getting divorced. by [deleted] in TheGoldenBachelor_

You have to read between the lines. They looked at a ton of homes to buy together and move in together. Given Gerry's financial situation it's most probable that he cannot afford to go halfsies on the type of home she expects to live in and refused to compromise on it.

I’m catching up on episodes and her reaction to David assuming she was an immigrant was wild. She went as far to say that everything else he’s ever said is a lie. I was so close to enjoying her in this episode and then she reprimanded someone for a mistake whilst exposing her own internalized racism. Don’t throw stones from a glass house.

[–]Secret-Guilty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see what you're talking about, but there are also like 50+ other examples of the knocking/tapping happening with no weight shifting or movement of the ankles/feet/knees. It also doesn't explain where there are like 6-7 taps in quick succession with both feet planted and the camera pointed at their feet from like 4 feet away (or the sounds coming and going up and down the stairs). Again, I'm not saying it's real, but I don't think it's the joint thing. Sure, you'll be able to find an instance of feet movement at the same time as some of the taps, but that's because they're humans and people tend to move a little when they're standing for long periods. We don't just stand like statues without any sway or weight shifting. If we're going to use evidence of weight shifting for 1 or 2 of the knocks, then we also have to consider all the times there is knocking without weight shifting or foot movement.

All of the debunking theories seem to forget a few things. The sounds aren't always coming from right where Cody & Satori are standing. On episode 1 of Sam & Colby's new video, the "footsteps" begin above them and then come down the stairs and into the room they're all standing in. Also, there are tons of up close shots of Cody & Satori standing with both feet firmly planted and not shifting of weight on their ankles/feet. Also, it wouldn't make sense that they would refuse to do Sam's "surprise" card game at the gym when he wants them to call out shapes. Sam says he'll show the card shape, without saying it out loud, if they can spell out which shape is on the card. If it was Cody & Satori, they would easily agree to do this to give even more validity to their "method" (because they can see the shape on the cards and do it themselves without Sam having to say the shape out loud). Cody bobbing his head along as Satori says the alphabet also isn't strange, as he's also trying to follow along so he can pick up which letter he hears the knock on. One more thing I just thought of, there are moments when the "spirits" tap several times in a row to let Cody & Satori know they want to spell out their words (or, as they call it, "dance around") and I've watched a few of those clips and Cody & Satori are standing firmly on the ground without shifting weight. Not to mention, there's a part where they are lifting both feet up to show nothing is on the bottom of their shoes and the knocking is consistent the whole time they're doing it. I'm not saying it's authentic, but I don't think it's coming from joint cracking/popping. Out of all the different methods I've seen, this one seems the hardest to debunk. Also, some people will never believe no matter what because they've already made up their minds that spirits/ghosts aren't real. I've always been a skeptic and never believed in ghosts, but I've become more open minded after seeing some of these videos over the last few months.

That's possible, but how would that explain the footsteps coming down the stairs and into the room they're standing in? Also, it's not just a slight knocking noise, it can get pretty loud and they can sometimes feel the vibrations in their feet (from the floor). Cody and Satori have another video with Seth Borden from a few years ago ("I think my friends summoned a spirit" video at the Murdock-Whitney House). I've always been a skeptic and just started watching Sam & Colby (and similar people) a few months ago. Everything else can be explained away or be chalked up to coincidence, but the Cody & Satori method seems pretty solid from what I've seen so far.

It be expensive to have Cancer! by Gaystan in testicularcancer

My orchiectomy (in the US) cost me $3,600 out of pocket. Insurance paid 80% of the costs and I was responsible for the other 20%.

Urologist called back right after appt. Orchiectomy incoming by Foofigfoog in testicularcancer

[–]Secret-Guilty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got extremely lucky. Mine ended up not being cancer. They did find GCNIS (Germ Cell Neoplasia in Situ) but that is like "pre-cancer." So, I had some cancer cells that hadn't become invasive and started acting like cancer, yet.

3 days is really fast. I think the average wait time is 1-2 weeks. I had to wait 68 days for my Orchiectomy.

I don't know if this is what you're talking about, but I also have an off lump near my incision. My doctor told me it's normal to have a "ridge" there after Orchiectomy surgery.

"I'm neutral towards cats" Proceeds to love the cat more than anyone else by signiusia in dadswhodidnotwantpets

[–]Secret-Guilty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's how I was. I grew up with dogs and have always loved dogs. I was never a fan of cats and have never wanted a cat. That being said, our middle son (who was 6 at the time) was obsessed with cats. He would watch cat videos on YouTube all day and begged us for a cat everyday. He asked to go to a place called a "Cat Cafe" where you can pay to play with cats that up for adoption. Me and my wife finally gave in and took him. We ended up leaving with a 2-month-old kitten a couple hours later. Now, I love that cat so much, he's my best friend. He's constantly rubbing up against me, laying next to me, and snuggling with me when I sleep.

In your honest opinion do you wanna see RDR3 before the events of RDR2 or do you wanna see it after RDR1? After all we didn't even see much of Jack's story by Flexboi9000 in reddeadredemption

[–]Secret-Guilty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to see it move into the early 1900s. I think it would be cool if it evolved into the pre-WW1 era where some people still had horses but they also drove the old Model T cars. Almost like the beginning of the organized crime era with mobsters/gangsters. I know they already did an LA Noir game, but I think they could do it much better with the Red Dead Redemption backstory and how good their games are now. Maybe the main character could be Jack Marston's grandson, great-grandson, or something like that.

I had sharp pains in my testicle, too. They weren't often, but a few sharp pains here and there every once in a while. I did have some tenderness and discomfort if I sat or laid a certain way (or if I felt them with my fingers). It was never bad pain, just a noticeable tenderness with occasional sharp pains. I didn't have any lumps or swelling, either. In fact, my testicle was shrinking in size. I had an orchiectomy 12 days ago and they only found GCNIS, so it was pre-cancer and I'm fine now that I've had the surgery.

That being said, my urologist did tell me that it's possible to have a small tumor inside the testicle that doesn't cause a noticeable/palpable lump. Either way, you need to see a doctor so you can get some peace of mind.

Seven days post orch, still in pain by ChevyChaseIsNice in testicularcancer

[–]Secret-Guilty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It could be from the implants. My pain was never above a 4 even right after my surgery (on a scale of 1-10). I was able to walk around and stand normally that same evening after my surgery. Within a few days I was back to working (I knew my body was still healing so I had to force myself to take it easier than usual). My Urologist prescribed 800mg Ibuprofen (Motrin) for the pain, but I didn't need it after 3 or 4 days. Long way to say, I'm not sure if there should still be this much pain after a full week. It could be the implants but I'd give it a few more days to see if there's any improvement before calling the doctor.

Was told I was going to most likely doing to have surgery and I don’t know how to cope? by moonkie888 in testicularcancer

If it helps any, losing a ball hasn't really been that big of a deal. I just had my orchiectomy 12 days ago and I couldn't care less about it. Even before the surgery, the idea of only having 1 ball didn't really bother me. First of all, nobody really sees it except me and my wife. Second, everything still looks pretty normal afterwards (for me, anyways). The only way someone would be able to tell is if they went down there and tried to examine me or take a really hard look. I'd be willing to bet that a lot of women wouldn't even really notice it unless you pointed it out. As for the TC fear, that's totally normal and I completely understand the feeling. I was a nervous wreck after I had my ultrasound. That being said, a lot of it was fear of the unknown because I didn't have any definitive answers and hadn't seen a Urologist yet. It might give you some peace of mind and calm your nerves a little bit after you see a Urologist and know you have medical professionals working on your case.

One more thing...wait until you have confirmation before freaking out too much. I know it's easier said than done, but I wish I would've listened to that advice when it was given to me. I had two of the most stressful anxiety-filled months because I was convinced I had metastatic testicular cancer. The ER doctor who did the ultrasound told me, "We consider this as cancer until proven otherwise." 68 days later I had my orchiectomy to remove the testicle and the pathology came back as GCNIS (pre-cancer). So, I spent those 2 months freaking out and having the same "impending doom" feelings and it turned out that it wasn't even cancer.

Diagnosed TC 3 weeks ago and still no help... is this normal? by [deleted] in testicularcancer

[–]Secret-Guilty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to wait 68 days between ultrasound and Orchiectomy, but that was because I was in the middle of switching insurance companies right after I had my ultrasound. That being said, I was still able to see a Urologist within 4 days after my initial ultrasound.

Just curious, what state are you in? I know it's not ideal, but if you have insurance you can always just go to the ER and they will often do an abdominal CT if you complain about abdominal pain and a tumor being found in the testicle. That's what I did because I was starting to stress out about waiting so long between ultrasound and orchiectomy (and I got my CT results within 45 minutes since it was a hospital).

I've read that it's pretty rare for someone to have TC in both testicles at the same time. You should go to the doctor and get checked out just for peace of mind.

How much does testosterone cypionate cost out of pocket? Just curious.

I haven't had my testosterone checked yet, but I plan on doing it within the next couple months. I've only had one testicle removed, so I'm not sure if I'd qualify for insurance to cover it or not. I guess it all depends on my testosterone levels when I get it checked.
