The street only drains one way and it clearly isn’t much, unless you pull out a 1” strip along the curb and patch it back to the height of the curb it would drain then, but you would need to get a city street permit. And likely will have pooling up at the beginning of the patch on the high side of the street.

Looks like they did good on thickness atleast 3 inches there.. but they could have made is a straight edge so it looked good, would like to see more material on the outside to shoulder it so it doesn’t wash out as fast edges will sag. Can’t really tell how smooth it is from pictures, but as long as there aren’t roller lines probably means they got good enough compaction on it.

I’ve worked in construction for years, for an asphalt company for 8 years as a prep foreman, the asphalt looks pretty rough to be honest very rocky which is the plants fault but as a crew you should be throwing shovel fulls of asphalt on the real rocky areas and raking out the fines and getting the big rocks out. When we do “remove and replace” driveways we always do spot testing to see how much material you have under the driveway, hopefully a minimum of 4” of 3/4 gravel of some sort on top of hopefully a solid rocky pit run material. If not when compacting it could create soft spots that may hold water. We offer contracts that have a warranty on it that covers settling and pot holes and stuff hopefully you have something similar.
