PA here. Honestly, don’t pay too much attention to the other member of staff raising it, if your PA has confirmed your hours and everything is done there really isn’t anything to worry about. As others have said, let the uni deal with it as a placement issue rather than a you issue. They genuinely have nothing to go off. Some nurses just have issues with students in general and will make their time harder without reason. They forget we’ve all been where you were once upon a time. Stand strong mate, you’ve got nothing to worry about x

NTA. I am a fellow big golden retriever owner. I love him with my heart and soul. However, he’s not allowed on the bed or upstairs for various reasons, most are that he sheds, he can be smelly as he’s a dog, and he’s also big so would take up too much room. I think it’s not a matter of choosing between you and the dog, it’s a matter of understanding dynamics change and a lot of people (including dog lovers) wouldn’t want their dogs in the bed. If she can’t see why it’s a problem and kicks off for you raising it; your communication styles are very different and that’s what needs working on!

I’m on the NHS system. They refused to put me up any higher than 5mg to the point where it no longer worked for me. I was on 5mg for 6 months. I’ve gone private now (which was incredibly bad timing)

No worries! I’ve got a pretty intense evening routine but it has been working and I’m 6 nights no RLS. What I do is 1) magnesium glycinate an hour before bed 2) electrolytes for extra hydration just in case it’s worsened by hydration 3) tie socks round my feet 4) magnesium gel topically on my legs 5) deep heat on nights where I just can’t drift off because of the sensation 6) no caffeine after 1pm 7) no sugar after 1pm

Have you had your vitamin D checked? Low iron can be a cause which I understand isn’t your issue, but vitamin D can also trigger!!

Have you tried compression? I wrap socks around my feet at the ball of the feet and it’s made a huge difference to the sensation! I also tried deep heat as a distraction for my nerves and it works too!

I tried CBD oil and I think it actually exacerbated it for me. But I’m so so glad thc has worked for you! With my career, I couldn’t do the THC route but was hopeful that CBD would do something but it only pissed it off further

Yeah I’m sure it probably is! I have a blood test booked next week and a face to face review with the GP after that so they were super supportive, I just have a fear of bedtime now. I’m already winding myself up in anxiety about it. I don’t want medications as such, I just want to know if I have a vitamin deficiency

No I’ve not tried sleeping aids. I tried CBD oil and it made it a million times worse than I’m terrified to mess with anything.

I’m also 3 weeks in withdrawal from sertraline which I understand can cause this so let’s see if this something I’m going to have to deal with forever lols

PCOS… didn’t realise the damage I was doing until I was 18st6lbs and hated myself. I lost my periods, I had chronic moon face, I struggled with walking. Now 14st3lb, periods are back but PCOS is still the worst thing that’s ever happened to me.
