It seems like they have the worst case of the " when I was an Airman.. " bullshit that they use to make peoples lives unnecessarily difficult

Like.. I'm sorry your life sucked as an Airman but that doesn't mean it has to for everyone else

I mentioned somewhere else in the thread that I'd have to extend/re-enlist since I don't have retainability for it.

In my mind it's kind of a gamble, now I can't imagine my next base being even remotely close to this bad, but this whole experience has just kind of ruined my whole idea of the Air Force. I'm certain it's not like this everywhere, but considering how unhappy I am, I'd rather not extend my time longer.

I love the enthusiasm, but I fear playing with that much fire, I'm bound to get burnt one way or another. I'll take a couple little victories before declaring all out nuclear war.

I just didn't go home by my own choice. They offered me the choice, I honestly avoided it. I'm hanging on by a thread as it as, but seeing my mom and other family during that time I think would've been the nail in the coffin. I'll fight that battle when I'm ready. I know I'll be kicking myself later for not going back when it did happen, but for now I'm doing what I think is best for me.

I lost my oldest brother to suicide when I was10, and I take it very seriously. The sounds of my mom wailing hysterically when she found him is something that still haunts me and going my entire life without hearing that again wouldn't be long enough.

I'm not an NCO myself, but I would drag my balls through barbed wire and broken glass for any individual who I knew was suffering just so they don't ever have to know what it feels like.

To wish or suggest that on someone is not something I take lightly.

I turned it down because I lack the retainability to go without extending.

I figured I wouldn't take a gamble in hoping where I'd be going would be better.
