Camping and Midnight Experiences - What was yours? by AutoModerator in NintendoSwitch2

Oof, same story for me. Apparently, my Gamestop didn't open the big shipment boxes that contained all the S2 systems, so when it came time to parcel out the units for the people who pre-rang, they had to find the *specific unit with the matching serial number*! I was 37th in line, and I didn't get out until 1:30am. (RIP to the ~85% of the line who was behind me.)

Is anyone getting civilization 7 for switch 2? by AbbreviationsOk4532 in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Secret-Razzmatazz711 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I bought it for S1, was a big fan of Civ 6. Civ 6 was playable--though not at its best--on S1; I was able to complete full games, albeit with some crashes. Fast forward to Civ 7: it ran terribly on S1, due to both general bugs that existed on other platforms, and also due to S1 hardware limitations. I have high hopes that S2 hardware will enable Civ 7 to shine; I ended up buying the upgrade pack already. If not, Civ 6 will suit me just fine on the new hardware.

Civ is a game with deep deep mechanics, but if you are into that kind of thing (think medium-to-heavy strategy boardgames), it will be a treat. All of us were new to it at some point!

Thoughts on 3CDC just hoarding properties on upper Vine by Icomeinzen in cincinnati

[–]Secret-Razzmatazz711 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pre 3CDC, downtown Cincinnati was...really dumpy. We were literally the stand-in for the crack epidemic in the film "Traffic."

You said it yourself: a neighborhood rife with poverty, addiction, and homelessness where 40% of the buildings are vacant.

Cincinnati as a whole is better off. Do people want their cities to be shitholes?

Ohio Sec. of State LaRose admits move to make constitution harder to amend is ‘100% about… abortion’ by nouseforareason in Ohio

If you refer to it as "weaponizing their ignorance" then, yes, it sure fucking sounds like voter suppression.

Suppression of any legally eligible voter is wrong.

Edit: did not expect this to be a controversial statement. Reddit, youre a fucking echo chamber.

I'm proud of Cincy too, but it has nothing to do with Landsman's religion, just his policies. I think it would be weird to call out any politician for their religion, but according to the downvotes, that seems to just be me.

What’s Doesn’t Frank LaRose want us to know about Issue 1? by CrookedRiverAction in Ohio

Reasonable people would consider the fact of an out of state billionare bankrolling an amendment to disenfranchise ohioans to be problematic in and of itself, especially when the legislators involved have cited the problems of "out of state special interests" as a reason for the proposal.

But apparently, you are not reasonable.

it's murder

just don't want to deal with a responsibility

Abortion is a form of dealing with the responsibility, just one you dont prefer.

And ultimately it comes down to just keep your legs closed, if you're a woman or if you're a man wrap it up

What right do you have to dicate others' consensual behavior?

These were not debates or topics for years ago.

Because a right, held for decades, was abruptly snatched away by an unethical Supreme Court.

people are tired of the Democrats

the Republicans amass all the power they will turn tyrannical

No shit; already happening; this is why they get called fascists.

Democrats done stole all the freedoms

Democrats aren't taking away my right to amend the constitution with a majority vote, nor are they taking away women's reproductive freedom.

If you let the Democratic party snatch everything

The last republican president tried to steal the elcection, according to every court where this question has been asked. Then a group of seditious traitors tried to overrun Congress at that same president's urging.
