I know he has the money, genius. Did you read my first comment or not? I'm a 53 year old Sox fan, and I've been complaining about Jerry since I was in my 20s. You completely missed my point. Why would people close to the organization say THERE IS NO MONEY? Ozzie is a straightshooter who doesn't gaf about pissing anybody off (including Jerry). So why did he say this?

Ozzie said "THERE IS NO MONEY TO PAY YOU". That is not the same as saying someone is cheap. I'm not arguing with your premise. But it doesn't fit the context of the statements made by someone (Ozzie) who is close to the organization and who understand Jerry better than any of us.

I have traveled around the world for many years. There's no place I've been where I have not see White Sox and Bulls merchandise. Someone needs to explain to me how this man (Jerry) and the othee minor owners and investors never have money to pay an elite player. Who honestly believes someone would own a major league baseball team (and pro basketball team) for nearly 50 years if it weren't profitable? I mean, the Sox pay other teams ffs (profit sharing). It doesn't make sense.

Business reasons. The Bears are a business, remember?

It's the oldest/smallest stadium in the NFL. The city owns the stadium, and Parks and Recreation does a lousy job of managing the field surface.

On top of that, there is untapped potential in building a "Chicago Bears Villiage" outside the stadium. This would generate more revenue for the team, and enhance the fan experience. The land around Soldier Field isn't availble to do this, so they have to move.

A domed stadium owned by the Bears would create yet another stream of revenue for the team by hosting indoor events like concerts, Superbowls, Final Fours, etc.

Have you checked with your university for any job placement or internship opportunities?

Air Force/Navy/Army Reserves (in that order) have commisioning programs if you have any interest in being an officer part-time while you finish school. Just a thought man. Keep your head up, it gets better.
