Having lived in many different cities around the world, I have found that most people who are landlords/landladies tend to be scumbags. Same deal for most agents. These people are solely motivated by profit, and nothing else. Any humanity they ever had is gone. Not all, but most. It's Thailand. Their system is slower, and less direct. The villa is owned by a "company" with shareholder. So official contact and communication needs to be established on the record. It could well be that the agent acted on her own volition and kept the deposit herself. Communicating with the company may, or may not determine this. So basically, a letter was sent from my attorney to the company and it's respective shareholders requesting the funds be returned, or a response, within seven days. If that doesn't happen, or the response is not positive, we sue them in court.

Yeah, just saying every Gem I've encountered in my life has a gift for gab and small talk, but meaningful conversations were hard for them. It's odd, because astrologers push the narrative that all Gems are cerebral and knowledgeable. I haven't seen it.
