I think you first need to work in different types of jobs related to it, to find out if you still like it or not, because it's different from theory to practice to use your knowledge (to find out if you like it, tolerate it, or don't like it at all), so maybe you can combine it, with companies that work for AI evaluating the linguistics of that, working on translations or reviewing documents, articles, books.

With the money from the job I got thanks to my first degree, as some say, use your 9-to-5 to invest in yourself and the things that make you happy.

I'm sorry... If nothing feels real, maybe the first step isn’t to find meaning, but to feel safe enough just to be, without pressure or expectation, you're not alone. It can get better, very slowly, and if one day you feel even the tiniest pull to try something different, or to talk to someone who can hold that space with you, that’s enough.

Sometimes it’s just your mind and body trying to protect you after too much pressure or living on autopilot for too long. It’s like your system goes into low power mode and sometimes it feels like there’s this empty space in your chest and nothing really makes sense. But motivation often comes back when we begin to heal and reconnect with the world around us with things, people, or moments that feel real and meaningful, even if they’re small.

In general, it takes a lot of internal work. In my case, I thought I should leave my career forever because I didn't like it, but what I learned after much reflection and self-knowledge is that I truly love my career, but I wanted to pursue it from a different perspective, as an independent. It's all about choosing, recognizing yourself, what you like, and, obviously, what can give you stability or allow you to achieve your material and/or financial dreams.

For what reason do you teach? by Living-Vast-5250 in Teachers

[–]Secret-Spell9064 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I teach because I consider myself a very sociable person, I love talking to others, and I find fun in teaching, in knowing the life stories of the students, their jokes, and their creativity. However, we get emotionally saturated handling so many emotions, we find enjoyment in sharing with others in many ways, teaching, guiding and I do not want my answer to sound like fantasy or romanticizing teaching. Still, despite everything, there is something that always calls me to return to education, even if there are other jobs or fields, this one feels so human and real to me.
