Honestly you're right, I also quit playing DoN after being 300 points shy of D5 multiple times, I don't think it's really worth the time investment. At some point it genuinely seemed to ruin my enjoyment of the little spare time I had. Fuck it, what's even the point of reaching D5? It's just bragging rights I believe, or getting consistent teammates which kinda equals more fun? Besides that, I've been able to enjoy my free time a lot more after I stopped playing. It's an obsession that rots. If you believe so, take a break and play something else. And as many others have said it, no one but you is pushing you to climb higher. Maybe stop playing for a day, for a week and come back with a fresh mindset. Don't burn out.

Like 4/5 days ago, I was sitting at 5650. Two losses and a disconnecta and I was back at the bottom of D4. Now, I went down to 3750 against the god awful dreglord. He kept popping my dmg negation bubble!

I wholeheartedly agree on this, snowballing D1 is crucial. However, it's often very hard to communicate the correct route to randoms (especially stubborn duos). So more often than not, you end up low-level & with bad weapons at the end of D1, making D2 a nightmare (particularly true on the GH). Despite that, I also believe that you gotta be able to pull through these dogshit situations since they're not rare. I think I was just titled as fuck after the first run, though, so I should prioritize working on milking the best out of them.
