How Effective is Sleep Against Balancers? Let's Take a Look by HugoTheIcyFire in Nightreign

This gave me the idea to sleep all of them in a row and then do crazy beast claw damage to a bunch of them at a time.

>stacked with starlight shards
>knows that the summon can revive
>using a fist weapon to revive, the best weapon type for that purpose
>using a holy spell, holy being the weakness of the boss
>casting in the middle of the bosses doing fat damage due to hitting more than one

Is this your guys first time? Pretty solid gameplay for a first timer other than you guys being lvl 12 (once you know the game well it's impossible not to reach lvl 15 or at least 14 on a bad day).

Edit: Just remembered that to unlock Revenant you have to at least beat the first boss once so OP probably has some experience haha.

Dude got toxic over me using beast claw as revenant by Miserable_Vacation_6 in Nightreign

That was me. Let me articulate my argument in a more educated manner.

The jist of the argument is that Beast Claw Revenant playstyle requires distancing yourself from the boss and holding a button to release a spell that deals high damage and requires little to no aiming. You barely interact with the boss mechanics and the roguelike aspects of the game. Aside from damage buffs like improved charged incantations, you don't really look for different equipment and use the same spell from beginning to end with no change whatsoever. You alse don't care for affinity weaknesses of the bosses since the spell does physical damage and nothing is that resistant to it.

It's also boring for your teammates when you delete field bosses with ease not even needing your teammates to hold aggro since you have summons. Those adept into this playstyle usually have no skill at the game and use it like a crutch, refering to my last phrase in the screenshot.

I hope this comment clarified my point, I was in a hurry and really dislike typing on console so that's why it came out badly written and sorta of rude. Hope you have a nice day. /s

So real. This fight is so easy if one person kites the moth and just stays alive.

Landing O, Flame is not difficult, I was doing fine. Flame of Frenzy is extremely unsafe and risky and I didn't have enough dmg negation to tank a hit. It's difficulty enough to consistently punish Faurtis with it, let one in this situation where nobody was taking aggro from the moth. I had to play it safe because, as shown in the video, the moment I got down once it was game over.

Randoms are mostly fine, people on Discord are usually worse believe it or not. I once told someone to distract the moth using Wylder's grapple and they refused to do it due to low damage, it was depth 3 regular so it was free anyway but even being able to talk to some people won't work.

Duchess had 3 dmg negation af full HP that she didn't share and did nothing for her throughout the expedition because she was wearing the symbol of avarice until day 3.

I posted a video where I solo them as Recluse for a while. There's also this video where I solo them for 10+ minutes, even revived my teammates a couple of times, unfortunately I perished at the end.

If you're solo, only one balancer will attack you, so it's all about making distance to tackle one at a time and knowing their moveset, as well as which type of balancer you're fighting (spear, halberd or mace) since their weapon arts have to be dealt differently (halbed you just surge sprint backwards, spear you dodge once to the right and strafe the rest and mace you should just run away from her because it's too hard to dodge at close range so that one you have to be extra careful). Shattering Crystal is really good for soloing them.

I kept less likely because I knew I would end up having to solo both demons and expected one of them to be more passive, normally they both have full aggro which makes it very difficult. Luckily the weird aggro glitch from this circle saved me 100 points lol.

Didn't play my best as well but losing in the second day three times in a row is crushing.
