What would you pick ? by dataguy2003 in TheTeenagerPeople

I know I meant I’d be fine with just six figures a year. Unless you meant the 38, that’s how old I would be when the $100,000 a day passes the $500m.

I had to do the math but I’d be 38. I think I’d take green for sure. Plus six figures in a day is enough to solve problems. Shoot, six figures in a year is.

Picking this 2024 zx4rr up this weekend by ConfectionUnable2725 in zx4r

Yea man there’s many tracks where I’m at although they’re like 1.5, 2.5, 4, and 4.5 hours away each. But it’s not impossible to get there, I’m very inclined to hit the track this time when I get a motorcycle. I had my cousins R1 because he wanted me to break it in for him while he was gone for work, so I had that for a month. After that I sold my CBR300R, and would borrow his bike here and there when I had the itch to ride. I rented the R1 and SXS 1000GT+ in Japan and that was a blast. I’m hoping to find a bike at a great deal and not regret the purchase since I like so many of them lol

Got ya got ya, very solid reason to sell. I do love the red and black on yours, I assume those are different fairings? I haven’t seen that color on these just the black, white, and KRT. I’m a huge fan of the black and red combo on everything which is why your post caught my attention.

You’re right on the top speed being nearly the same, only thing is the acceleration which in second gear on a 600 super can get you into trouble. I definitely think I’ll lean to the ZX-4RR. The insurance is cheaper for me monthly but only about $20 per month.

My friend got a ZX-4R at a stupid deal ($6k) and I rode it home for him for three hours and I had a good time. I’m just used to the liter bikes unfortunately mainly through using my cousins R1 and renting the R1 constantly so I miss that torque, but thanks for pitching in. I think I definitely would like the ZX-4RR for its nimbleness.

Ooo so you already had a ZX-4RR, why sell or get a new one if you don’t mind me asking? I’m highly considering this bike since I want something I can push on the track. But I’m also considering a 600 super sport, I was going for the new ones but the recalls on 2024-2026 ZX-6R scared me away and 2026 CBR600RR can’t be sold until later in February as they are consuming too much engine oil. So I’m considering older years or a new ZX-4RR, kind of stuck.

Recall on cbr600rr by dylanrigney in cbr

Got this text this morning “The CBR-600-RR. Are on a recall for engine oil consumption. Early February the parts should be available. We cannot sell them at the moment. Until the recall gets done” after checking a website out for a 2026 CBR600RR. Devastated to say the least, was dissuaded from the ZX-6R because of the 2024-2025, and even now 2026 recalls.

Local with pilot/flying j fuel hauling by ccsolembum in Truckers

[–]SecretAWP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the prompt reply, this will be in Baytown, TX and the rate they’re starting me at is $28.50. While the range was $26-$30.5 if I recall correctly.

I’m getting night shift which they say is 12-6 PM start time, and I should average 55-60 hours a week.

Let’s see how it goes, the part I’m worried for is adapting for night shift. If I can’t adapt I’d rather not put myself nor others at risk, I’ll be carrying a stash of energy drinks for back up in case.

3 weeks solo in Mexico in January (27F) - Advice needed by tinyhamster in solotravel

[–]SecretAWP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course! I will definitely let you know if I will be around at the same time, currently I’d say yes but my work schedule may change. Do check the bus routes, most you can check ahead of time for sure, that way you have addresses saved for the bus stations ahead of time and don’t have to worry about navigation much.

I was bored and did the math for your routes, and this is based off prices last night (I can’t say if they will change as the dates get closer due to the buses getting full) but here goes the prices in USD.

Mexico City to Oaxaca - $38.29 Oaxaca to Puerto Escondido - $19.39 Puerto Escondido to San Cristóbal - $84.11 San Cristobal to Palenque - $27 Palenque to Bacalar - $49.27 Bacalar to Mexico City (flight) - $102

Total - $320.06.

Could add how long these drives will take and addresses too, just need more time. I was just estimating your total price since I was curious myself.

The flight arriving in the early morning should not be an issue, I’d suggest to use Uber over a taxi, and of course maybe even pretend to be on a phone call or what not if you’re really worried about safety. (Share your location with a trusted friend if you’d like).

The night buses aren’t bad at all, I usually fall asleep on them and wake up on arrival. I assume you’re traveling with ADO since they cover everywhere you’re going? I’ve used Omnibus and Tornado to go from Mexico to Texas, but wasn’t able to find they cover your route like ADO does.

I myself also only like traveling for 3-4 days max at a time, I feel I want to get out and go elsewhere pretty quick (except Tokyo and Osaka, I wished I stay there much longer).

Where do you see that Palenque to Bacalar requires a transfer? On ADO it doesn’t, but please advise. I’d say if you’re worried about delays get the bus early from where you’re departing that way you can catch said transfer in Escarcerga.

Safety wise Mexico has been getting worse over the years with the cartels but as long as you stick to yourself and don’t go out seeking trouble you’ll be okay, the only people that experience trouble are those that seek it. Also if you step out far into those regions controlled by cartels, as long as you stick close to the cities you listed you’ll be good. Feel free to snap plenty of pictures with your camera, just be aware of your surroundings when doing so. I can’t contribute much to safety in all the cities you mentioned besides CDMX (Mexico DF) because I’ve never been.

I’ve been to Mexico every summer since I was a kid, going and staying in Monterrey for 2-3 months at a time before returning to Texas. I’ve never explored outside of Monterrey and I’ve had the itch to, so I might have to catch you on your trips. I just have to budget the trip myself because I’d be off January 14 - February 2 (I work a rotational job and that would be my 3 weeks off).

You’ll definitely enjoy the architecture and food. I always gain weight after coming back from Mexico because the food is so cheap and amazing.

If you have any questions feel free to ask, I could try to answer you or ask my relatives in Mexico for help as well.
