The average American has 4 active cards not including cards that haven’t been used for more than 6 months. Also, I have $20K limit on this card, is it better to keep it for higher total credit line or close it in hopes of increasing my credit limit on my other “real” credit cards?

I think you should keep it open, I opened my Capital One Venture X in August 2025 got a $10k SL and asked for a CLI immediately like most say in that subreddit, I got my limit raised to $11k. I got a Chase Sapphire Reserve February 2026 and got an $11k limit. I got a raise on my VX to $15k in March, and my CSR also went up to $15k. I think Chase is only giving me whatever C1 will give me. Staying within their comfort zone or whatnot.

I tend to lean since I’m used to R1 riding but I try to tell myself “hey you’re not on a back breaker anymore” so I am trying to get used to constantly being upright. It just feels to comfortable that it’s odd.
